Can you enter the Battle Phase even if you don't have a monster that can attack?--205.122.232.250 (talk) 01:57, December 9, 2010 (UTC)
No.
To my knowledge, you cannot start the Battle Phase if you cannot start a battle, and you cannot enter a second Main Phase without passing through the Battle Phase. Otherwise, you could get around "Savage Colosseum" by waiting to Summon until Main Phase 2.

actually you can enter your battle phase without having a monster. There is nothing that would prevent you from doing that. And from there you can enter main phase 2 and summon a monster or do whatever you can do. -dest- (talk • contribs) 09:59, December 9, 2010 (UTC)
Yes!
Shocking. I guess "Savage Colosseum" is not as good as I believed.

If I may ask, why does being able to enter your battle phase while you have no monsters make any difference to Savage Colosseum? Amadeus Von Blastoise (talk • contribs) 03:35, December 11, 2010 (UTC)
there is no difference. If you summon in main phase 2 the monster didn't declare an attack and so is destroyed if face up. So if you want a monster on your field you'll have to set it or change it to defense somehow. -dest- (talk • contribs) 12:32, December 11, 2010 (UTC)
