I have a question about when fortune ladies are brought back from remove from play using cards like Future Visions (like FL Light) since it is during the standby phase does that mean she gains a level? Also when a fortune lady is sent to the graveyard when it is say a level 8 does it become its origional level if it comes back to the field? i'd assume so because either player can obtain it from the graveyard. One last thing, though i'm sure i'm right about this, if you forget to state that fortune lady gains a level during standby phase does that mean the fortune ladies don't get their level?-- Dandorian 01:35, February 29, 2010 (UTC)

well i made a fortune lady deck but i'm really unsure about the questions i had just asked. So i'm hoping for some advice. also i have another question. if say a you use Slip of Fortune on a level 9 Fortune lady would it return as a level 9 or would it be reduced to it's origional level?-- Dandorian 06:41, February 29, 2010 (UTC)
- 1) Yes, the effect will activate. It's still the Standby Phase.
- 2) If a "Fortune Lady" is removed from the field, then its Level is returned back to its original Level.
- 3) In general, the "Fortune Lady" would have its Level retroactively increased.
- Note that if you're in a tournament, you should ask the judge. If judge says that the game can't be repaired (for example, you attacked your opponent a half dozen times with your monster, and you can't figure out how what your opponent's LP should be), then the game ends in a draw and you start over. It's both players' responsibility to remember mandatory effects, so both players will receive a game loss.

ok so fortune ladies do get their level automatically during standby phase and if they come back from play during the standby phase they still gain their level increase but a level 8 fortune lady reduces to their origional level if returned to the field at all. thanks-- Dandorian, March 1, 2010 09:23
