Forum:Genex Smash and Burn

I'm working on a deck to burn the opponent(s) deck(s) while ensuring my field presence isn't comprimised. I feel I can accomplish this with a variation of a Genex deck I built a while back, but I'm not sure what to change.

I bought 3 Genex Solar recently to up the burn of my deck, but I'm not sure how many to put in, and what other cards to add to up the burn efficiency. I'm wanting to boost in particular Thermal Genex's effects to make him the biggest threat in my deck. Any suggestions?

I might be missing something but I was wondering how you plan on utilizing Reliever's effect? I didn't notice a trap or monster in your deck that negates. Are you just planning on special summoning Reliever using the Accelerator effect? Seems like that space could be spent on something else if that's the case. I'm really interested in seeing different Genex designs cause I want to help my friend build a Genex deck. Could you give me an idea of what your deck's primary goal/strategy is? Right now it just seems to be reviving Controller, synchro spamming (i.e. normal Genex attack plan) but if I'm missing something I'd like to know. Thanks. How about using Instant Fusion and using the fusion monster to synch with Controller to bring out your Genex synchro monsters?Chibispore (talkcontribs) 22:00, February 5, 2012 (UTC)

Hi Rozonkomo,

Not sure why I put Genex Ally Reliever in. It's a deck from just after Book of Moon got nerfed, so it's been around a while. Yeah, the current build is a synchro spam deck, but I want to focus more on Thermal Genex's two effects. I'll edit it now, but I've now taken those two and the fairly useless Genex Ally Remote (as the only cards it can influence are the Genex Ally Chemistrers, who are better off in my hand) out to make room for 3 copies of Genex Solar to bump up the burn (although I could do with enhancing its summon speed).

Hi Chibispore,

Instant Fusion only works for 'Lv 5 and below'. Chimeratech Fortress Dragon is Lv 8. I have no 'Lv 5 or below' Fusion monsters.

I'm well aware of that. This plus Instant Fusion gives you an instant Thermal. For extra search power, use Genex Undine with Treeborn Frog. Also, you have 3 Locomotion R-Genex, but only 2 usable DARK monster for it (both of whom are synchros). Why not pair Caius paired with Treeborn Frog(he even has a burn effect)? Finally, have you considered Tragoedia? Hope this helps :) Chibispore (talkcontribs) 20:21, February 6, 2012 (UTC)

Hi Chibispore,

Ah, if only I hadn't traded off my Flame Swordsman...

I have another copy of Genex Ally Triforce to splash in for spamming Locomotion R-Genex, and can actually use Genex Ally Axel/Genex Ally Chemistrer to summon him too. I'm not comfortable using Caius the Shadow Monarch because I can actually get better total burn damage from Genex Solar using either Genex only Locomotion strategy (2,000LP at least) my deck has, and Treeborn Frog itself is not necessary as Caius is Lv 7 (also, my deck is not comfortable with not using ST cards, something Treeborn requires).

As for Tragoedia... uh... not too sure if it'd be all that useful.

Caius is a level 6, not 7. The idea is to use Undine to mill Treeborn and search Controller; then summon Cauis due to Treeborn. Caius can even be synched with Controller to make Locomotion R-Genex. Tragoedia is a useful card because he can change his level, is easy to summon, and can steal your opponent's monsters, but I can understand why you wouldn't not want to use him. Have you considered Pot of Duality. Also, I must thank you for the Swing of Memories idea you posted, it's really helped my own Genex deckChibispore (talkcontribs) 20:09, February 7, 2012 (UTC)
