The card Gladiator Beasts Archfiend Shield says to destroy it instead of the equiped monster. But it's second effect says that when the equiped monster is returned to the deck and it is sent to the graveyard to return it to the hand.
My question is, does it return to the hand when it is destroyed instead of the equiped monster or just when the monster is returned to the deck? MajesticGladiator 21:00, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
It only returns to the hand when the monster returns to the deck, because if it has been destroyed before the monster returns to the deck, then the monster is no longer equipped with it. Ciao,
