Forum:Goyo Guardian VS. Colossal Fighter

-I control a face-up Goyo Guardian,and my opponent controls a face-up Colossal Fighter.My opponent's Colossal Fighter and my Goyo Guardian has the same ATK points(both having 2800 Atk points).

-It is my Battle Phase.My Goyo Guardian attacks my opponent's Colossal Fighter,making both monster cards destroy.

-My question is:Will Goyo Guardian special summon Colossal Fighter to my side of the field,or will Colossal Fighter special summon itself to my opponent's side of the field???

-please answer.

• If "Goyo Guardian" suicides against a monster it cannot activate its effect. If you'd read the rulings pages, you'd know this. Danny Lilithborne 11:19, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

However, I believe that when Colossal Fighter is destroyed by battle it can special summon a warrior to the field. And by it's effect it could special summon itself back to the field. So you basically would have suicided Goyo for nothing. Picasso 81189 16:27, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

It wouldn't be for nothing; he would be making Colossal Fighter 100 ATK points stronger from Goyo Guardian going into the graveyard. Aserik 21:02, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

-what if i equip Goyo Guardian with something tha will make him not to be destroyed by battle???

• Both effects will create a SEGOC. Chain Link 1 will be Colossal Fighter, and Chain Link 2 will be Goyo Guardian. Goyo Guardian will resolve first and Special Summons Colossal Fighter, and then Colossal Fighter SS the targeted warrior from the Graveyard. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 08:53, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
