my opponent has ancient city rainbow ruins face up on the field and four crystal beast in his spell and trap card zone, and i then special summon great shogun shien, and i end my turn. my opponent draws and then activates the 4th ability of ancient city and draws a card, then can he activate another card, because using the ability of a face up card is not the same as activating one?
also if i have stardust on the field and my opponent activates crystal abundance can stardust negate it??
- Shogun, while being a great card, cannot stop another card from being activated due to the fact that Ancient City was already activated and continues to stay active while face-up on the field.
Also, while being another great card, Stardust cannot negate Crystal Abundance due to the fact that Abundance sends cards to the Graveyard without destroying them. I hope this helps. 199.36.15.6 16:13, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

haha thanks I was like 95 percent sure that, that was the case, but it would have been nice if there was some nifty little thing i didnt know about that would help me out in those situations.
