Forum:Hex-sealed fusions

My brother recently e-mailed upperdeck entertainment about a question regarding hex-sealed fusion monsters. The question is; Do I need polymerization for hex-sealed fusions?.

The answer to that question is apparantly no. According to Ray Schueller, game Support Rep., from Upper Deck explains that the hex-sealed fusion cards have a text that allows you to special summon a fusion monster from your fusion deck. You do not need polymerization to activate this text. Zillerman 21:19, 7 October 2008 (UTC) -->

You don't have to. If all the monsters are on the field, you can activate the "Hex-Sealed Fusion"'s effect to Special Summon the Fusion Monster by Tributing all the Fusion-Material Monsters.
If you want, you can use "Polymerisation" to Fusion Summon the monster. This is useful if the monster can only be Special Summoned by a Fusion Summon (like "Elemental Hero"s), or if some of the monsters are in your hand. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 22:43, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
Using "Polymerisation" might be preferable if you intend on being able recover the Fusion Monster from the Graveyard, since the monster will not have been properly Fusion Summoned if summoned by the Hex-Sealed Fusion monster's own effect. If not, don't bother! Speedball 23:34, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
