so im tryin to work on a dragon deck, my main idea is to summon five headed dragon. but i want to place horus level 8, and armed dragon lv 7 but dont kno which one is far better?

in my opinion it is better if you put armed dragon to destroy your opponents monster with his effect if you want to summon the five headed dragon because Horus effect only helps himself and not others Fiend Master 12:39, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

  • If you don't also use their previous forms, they are both useless, as they can only be summoned by their previous forms' effects. And Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 is far from bad, since it negates the activation and effects of Spell Cards. Seeing as Spell Cards are the main support for any deck, crippling that will give you a significant advantage. Armed Dragon LV7 is good, but in my opinion Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 is much better. I'd say to adjust your deck to your playstyle and local metagame. --Darth Covah 19:19, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Yes, but Armed dragon is much easier to get out, especially with Masked Dragon, if they only have 1 monster on the field and they kill Masked Dragon, you can get out armed dragon and they might not kill it, giving you a free level up when its your turn.

My opinion

Horus is a much more useful card than Armed dragon. Though Armed dragon does have the destruction ability. Being able to hinder your opponents deck, sometimes nearly all of their deck because of spell heavy users. Is far more useful. Also summoning Horus the normal way is a bit tough so you may want to consider putting trade-in to discard Horus to the grave to draw two cards. Later use Level Modulation to special summon Horus (Level 8), sure your opponent draws two cards but by negating spells you gain a significant enough advantage to avoid being hurt seriously. (You can also use foolish burials if you don't like Trade in, though trade in works extremely well).

Help with my RFP

Hey,I need some advice on this deck I made which utilizes a mixture of massive removal/beatdown stratigies. So far it faired okay agenst most of my frinds but Ive been wanting to try my luck at a tournament. DD Survivor x3 DD Assaalint x2 DD Warrior x2 Golden Homunculus x2 Morphing jar Medusa worm DD Warrior lady Exiled force Banisher of Radience White-Horned dragon Neospacian Grandmole

Dimensional fissure x2 Bigbang shot x3 Reienforcement of the army x2 Darkcore x2 Soul realese Lightning vortex Card Deystruction

Sakuretsu Armor x3 Karma Cut x2 Bottomless trap hole x2 DD dynamite Return fron the DD Compulsory EVAC Device Torrential tribue Marco Cosmos

currently I have no side deck but ID appreiae suggestions? and please, I really dont have good connections to card shops [I go to some downtown when I get carfare/spare cash] so if it isnt too much of a bother could you name cards that are both cheap and awsome? THNX,MATT

about the levels...

I'd do both. In fact, I think I'm going to try it myself. It definitely will be a challenge, because the amount of high-star monsters would throw any deck off balance, especially a 40-card deck. But having two different sets of level monsters means you'll get more use out of cards like Level Up! The added bonus is that they happen to all be dragons, perfect for calling out Five-Headed Dragon.

armed dragon

armed dragon lv7 is the best choice if you combine this card with his formers forms and masked dragons you can easily summon it and let it do a lot of damage but if you look at horus you need to first kill a monster to get to its final form wich can be difficult so the best choice is armde dragon lv7
