Some of you may have noticed the deadly new Infernity support being released in The Shining Darkness. I've made a deck around them, and it's very efficient at swarming and OTKing. Some others of you may have seen or are members of the Deck Guide section. I, along withRuner5h, and Gadjiltron, are working on the Infernity guide. Now, I came up with a varient that I plan to put on that guide, so I figured I would let the public get a view on my idea first.

This one of the best OTK ideas I've ever had. Use Norleras to nuke the field and hand, then draw a single card. How does a single card OTK, you may ask? Well, Infernity Archfiend, Infernity Gun, Infernity Necromancer, Infernity Mirage, and Dark Eruption are only a few of the cards that I could use to bring back an army. Even if I can't OTK with the card I draw, I probably will within a few turns, and not many decks can recover from a blow like Norleras.

Monsters: Norleras' effect is amazing, but how am I supposed to run him without any LIGHT fairies? That's where my three Phantom of Chaos come into play. Toss my Scourge to the Graveyard, then activate him from there, without any warning. Once the entire field is gone, and both player's hands are empty, I draw a single card. That's where hell breaks loose. Archfiend Summons himself, then grabs any Infernity from my deck to the hand. Then comes Mirage, once he's on the field, I can Tribute him to bring back two Infernity. Beetle is there for even more swarming, totaling 2400 damage if I top-deck him after Sky Scourge. Necromancer is another main swarmer, and somewhat hard to get rid of. Lastly, Destroyer is a nice beatstick, but I kept him at one. This is because he would be a HORRIBLE card to top-deck after I use Norleras. Dark Grepher can toss my hand to the wind, but I kept him at one, since Norleras will be my main card to empty my hand.

Spells: Burial from D.D. may seem excessive at 2, but remember that people out there have D.D. Crow. Also, it helps retreive Norleras. Infernity Gun is just amazing, emptying my hand if necessary, and bringing back two Infernties from the Graveyard once handless. Allure adds speed, and Dark Eruption can bring back Mirage, Necromancer, Beetle, or Phantom of Chaos. Foolish Burial sets up part of the OTK, and A Feather of the Phoenix is used right before Norleras unleashes his wrath, ensuring I have the card I need to finish the game. The rest are just staples, ensuring the OTK goes through.

Traps: Phoenix Wing Wind Blast ensures that after my opponent's field is gone, that their draw is screwed. It also empties my hand nicely. Lastly, Call of the Haunted is obvious.

Please give me suggestions on how to improve this deck!--Akiza Izayoi 02:38, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

hmmm, plaguespreader as backup to choose which card you draw, as well as to reduce handsize by 1 at any point? also, if you don't have the fairys, then isn't Return from the Different Dimension a dead draw, as all you'll remove is the nomi/semi-nomi Norleras. (though, if you want to do the 'RftDD' could spash in some Winged Kuriboh + The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh? but looking good, & hard to comment on -193.62.251.50 02:46, January 15, 2010 (UTC) EDIT: Oh~ is Return from the Different Dimension supposed to be Call of the Haunted? :p -193.62.251.50 02:47, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, Call of the Haunted was originally Return from D.D, when the deck had other ways to remove stuff. That's fixed now. Also, Plaguespreader is not a bad idea.. I like being able to control the next card I draw, it could really come in handy with an Archfiend.--Akiza Izayoi 02:51, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

I like it. I actually considered such a deck myself, but I had nagging doubts about, oh, not top-decking the right thing. Runer5h 02:57, January 15, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

My, you and I do think alike. Also, i'm hoping Plaguespreader and A Feather of the Phoenix will help with controlling my top-decking.--Akiza Izayoi 02:59, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

some advice

Since im probobly also gonna be running this type of deck idk if this info helps but 2 cards you might wanna run in the deck are blade knight and destructive draw, blade knight while your hand is empty will be a 4 star monster with 2000 atk and a possible and most likely effect of negating your oppenets effects if hes the only monster out which can really help, destructive draw is just an idea as most people know its a risky card but then again drawing 2 cards a turn you can throw down on the spot might help you out.

Infernity Archfiend beats out Blade Knight in so many ways. If Blade Knight were somehow a LIGHT Fairy, I would definatly put him in, but sadly, he's Warrior. As for Destructive Draw, I wouldn't want to take 3000 damage just to use my Norleras' effect, and it's way too slow.--Akiza Izayoi 20:29, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

EDIT: Removed a Veil of Darkness, since It's not one of the cards I want to top-deck.--Akiza Izayoi 01:51, January 17, 2010 (UTC)

Have you tried thinking of running the spell card Final destiny? It would provide 3 benefits for the deck,1-an alternative Norleras effect just without the draw power,2-discarding your hand to use effects of your infernity monsters,3-possibe means to get an early start on using effects in the graveyard.--Raventheblack 04:27, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

Well the thing is, I really wouldn't want to top-deck that thing AFTER using Norleras. Plus, it doesn't get rid of my opponent's hand, so they'll still have a major advantage over me.--Akiza Izayoi 16:33, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

3 Norleras is too much. -1 Norleras +1 Destroyer/Grepher. I really can't get why you want to play Soul Release. But a very good concept. :) -Flushy 00:17, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

Destroyer is a terrible top-deck. Also, the three Norleras in there work well when I want to Special Summon Dark Grepher, and I need 3 to make sure that there is one in there when I Summon Phantom of Chaos. For example, I wouldn't want to have 1 Norleras in the Graveyard when I Summon Phantom of Chaos, only to have my opponent D.D. Crow the Sky Scourge out of the Graveyard.--Akiza Izayoi 00:29, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

You're thinking too much, IMO. D.D. Crow might be a popular choice of cards, but it might not be played in every deck. --Flushy 00:30, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

It is, however, played in nearly every Side Deck, to tech against Graveyard based decks such as this.--Akiza Izayoi 00:36, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

  • If you summon POC, you have priority. You can RFP Norleras as a cost and your opponent's D.D. Crow will have missing a target. Besides, you are playing 2 Burials. --Flushy 00:39, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

If I call priority, my opponent can chain with D.D. Crow. The Crow will resolve first, removing Norleras. Besides, I personally still think the deck would run a lot faster with 3. It's not like he'll be a dead draw or anything, thanks to PWWB, Grepher, and A Feather of the Phoenix.--Akiza Izayoi 01:20, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

No doubt that Chain 2 will resolve first, but you'll have to pay the cost first for POC.--Flushy 01:24, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

POC removal is not a cost, it is part of the effect... ;) -dest- 02:24, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
