Forum:Infinite Loop: Morphing Jar 2

Let's say this loop have a possibility of winning the duel, but it may not work due to chances and which will lead the duel no where. Are we even allowed to play this loop?

Example: Turn Player: Have a face-down Morphing Jar 2 and a set All-Out Attacks. (Note: Only monster he have in the deck is another Morphing Jar 2) Opponent: Have 5 monsters on the field. Turn Player: Activates All-Out Attacks and then flips Morphing Jar 2. Returns all monsters to the deck and follow Morphing Jar 2's effect accordingly.

Two outcome can happen from this.

1) Opponent somehow picks up 5 monsters that can't be normal summoned so he'll have no monsters on the field. Morphing Jar 2 will be stuck in an Infinite Loop.

2) Turn Player Wins, he milled out all of the opponent's cards (assuming the opponent doesn't have at least 5 monsters that can't be normal summoned in the deck).

So is this allowed? If it fails, do you have to revert? (Which will be a problem kind of). Or you can't play a loop that have a possibility of becoming an infinite loop that goes no where? Someone asked me this so I wasn't sure. --Xsamuraizx 14:35, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

Oops my mistake, that was dumb of me. I don't think this loop is able to mill the opponent to lose the game. Ignore the example and read the other part lol.--Xsamuraizx 14:59, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

In this case, you keep activating and resolving the effect until it does nothing (that is, until the game is exactly the same as before "Morphing Jar 2" was flipped).
In the TCG, at this point, "All-Out Attacks" is destroyed.
In the OCG, the current semi-official answer is that the effect of "Morphing Jar 2" does not activate.

For the All-Out Attacks OTK, is All-Out Attacks really necessary? Could you not just flip summon Poison Mummy, Hiro's Shadow Scout, Needle Worm etc.... right after they're special summoned face down by Morphing Jar 2 and then flip Morphing Jar 2 restarting the process?24.22.44.158 (talk) 02:44, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

You can never Flip Summon a monster that was just summoned at that turn.-- HHTurtle Talk   02:52, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

...Unless there's a card that states you can. But rule-speaking.., yeah, you can't.|DED((Leaving Me Messages Are Often Left Here) 04:48, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
