Any thoughts on how I improve it? Or cards I should add in which you think will be beneficial? VonGlusenburg (talk to Von!) 15:53, April 6, 2013 (UTC)
Do you plan on playing in Traditional Format? If not, you're playing with a lot of banned cards. A Lv Deck should not play just about every Lv monster since it will lower its playability and consistant tremendously, stick with a single set of them and you should be fine. Also playing with a 60 card deck doesn't help you as it will lower your chances of drawing cards you actually need/want especially without any draw/search power. Yeah its for traditional format. But I disagree with the single set thing because as I've found out from past experience, having just one of the final forms isn't enough as my opponent defeats it and then I have hardly anymore powerful cards up my sleeve. The problem I find sometimes is just ensuring that I can get the big ones out e.g. I have the time and cards to combat my opponent's attempts to stop me. As for the 60 card thing, I've thought about removing the silent swordsman cards out of my deck as I usually find them quite difficult to summon / progress up the levels. - Why not just focus on one and use more modern cards like Dark Bribe or Safe Zone to protect it? --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 19:31, April 6, 2013 (UTC)
- Hmmm those cards seem like they could be very useful... VonGlusenburg (talk to Von!) 19:34, April 6, 2013 (UTC)
How about picking one of the sets and focusing your Deck around it? Horus Locks are infamously difficult to break. --Gadjiltron (talk • contribs) 01:54, April 7, 2013 (UTC)
- Because its more fun this way. Plus I have lots more options e.g. a Horus-Jinzo-Mystic Swordsman lockdown. Or if not Horus, Silent Magician or Swordsman. VonGlusenburg (talk to Von!) 17:41, April 9, 2013 (UTC)
if you are worried about losing after the destruction of you top LV monster then add Xyz Monsters or somthing like that. Maybe a dragon deck with fusion Monsters. --Venom assult trooper (talk • contribs) 22:32, April 9, 2013 (UTC)
- I know nothing about XYZ monsters, I've just come back to the game after a few years out and that is all new stuff to me. VonGlusenburg (talk to Von!) 23:25, April 11, 2013 (UTC)
- Fairly simple actually, just take 2 monsters with the same level, and put them on top of each other, then take a Black Bordered Xyz Monster, and place it on top. It's much faster than Synchro Summoning, and the monsters are quite good even if you can only use their effects twice. Anyway, I suggest reading the most recent edition of the Rulebook (Which is 2 years old, sadly) on Konami's Official site. For an wiki article, see Xyz Summon.
- But seriously, aside from that, it's probably much more simple if you go and focus around 1 LV series, that will help you fill in the other card slots with cards to increase consistency, speed, and add in a layer of protection for your monsters. Even if multiple LV series are "more interesting", interesting won't win games consistently, deck consistency and focus will. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 01:12, April 12, 2013 (UTC)
