If a player has Cyber Dragon in his hand, and attempts to Special Summon it while the opponent
controls Light and Darkness Dragon, what happens?
Also, my friend says there's a ruling which states:
Player 1 Tribute Summons Prime Material Dragon
Player 2 Activates Bottomless Trap Hole
Player 1 Uses Prime Material Dragon's effect, sending a card to the Graveyard
Player 2 Activates Divine Wrath
Now, he says,
Player 1 Uses Prime Material Dragon's effect since Bottomless Trap Hole has "speeded up" Prime Material Dragon, to negate Divine Wrath.
This can't possibly be true, can it?

- "Light and Darkness Dragon" can only stop effects which activate - that is, effects which form a Chain. "Cyber Dragon" does not start a Chain when it Special Summons itself, so "Light and Darkness Dragon" cannot stop it.
- There is no such ruling. That effect of "Prime Material Dragon" is always Spell Speed 2, so it can NEVER be chained to a Spell Speed 3 Counter Trap.

And Prime Material Dragon can't even negate Divine Wrath because Divine Wrath negates the effect.
- An easy way to remember Speed Spell levels, is that normal and continuous spells are 1, normal and continuous traps and monsters are 2, and counter traps are 3. Only a counter trap can stop a counter trap. Messengerofthedark 03:16, 9 July 2009 (UTC)Messengerofthedark
