When Debris Dragon Brings back Lonefire via it's effect, can Lonefire Tribute itself for a plant in-deck? Skill drain lets me do it, and I wanna make sure this isn't different, thanks!

i dont know who told you skill drain allows it but that is wrong, since its effect would be negated by debris dragon or skill drain, it would be unable to tribute itself or any other plant monster. However, if it was a graveyard effect like Sangan, skill drain would not effect it since the card is not on the field. — This unsigned comment was made by Drowcon (talk • contribs) 05:06, September 4, 2009
lol, at noob answer. Under skill drain, if you tribute lonefire (as the plant needed) it works because it's a cost and lonefire is now in the grave so it's not 'face up on the field' so skill drain won't effect it any more.
Under Debris, debris doesn't say face up, so even if you tribute lonefire, the effect will still be negated. Falzar FZ 05:48, September 4, 2009 (UTC)
Thank you, that clears that up. So does that mean Lonefire's effect is negated until it is re-Special summoned? or is it gone till after the duel? — This unsigned comment was made by 64.111.150.149 (talk • contribs) 14:26, September 4, 2009
you can special summon it another way (like Gigaplant's effect) later and you can use lonefire's effect. Falzar FZ 14:28, September 4, 2009 (UTC)
- If "Lonefire Blossom" is removed from the field and then is returned to the field, then its effects are no longer negated.
- Also, remember to sign your posts with four tildes ~~~~, since that automatically creates a signature for you.
