Forum:MST can be chained to Monk?

I have this friend who keeps telling me that I can chain MST if I drop it for the effect of Summoner Monk, but I'm not sure you can, could you chain MST if you were using it for the cost of Monk's effect? --99.109.208.40 (talk) 13:53, November 16, 2012 (UTC)

No, Cost activated first before you would be able to chain with other stuffs. So once that was discarding, you have to using other card to destroying the target cards. "Scrubbed Raid" and any set Quick-Play Spell or original Trap Cards on the other hand, can be activate at the same time. Like "Descending Lost Star" can be activating when you used the effect of "Scrubbed Raid" to summoning the dead Synchro Monster from the Graveyard in the point you prevented the attack and ended the battle. --iFredCat 13:56, November 16, 2012 (UTC)

Costs can't be interrupted. MST goes from your hand to the Graveyard before Monk starts its effect. At that point, it's no longer in your hand for you to activate. Designless Square (talk • contribs) 17:26, November 16, 2012 (UTC)

Well, I am just saying that Monk paid the cost first, then MST chained to his effect, which was little conflict. Either MST used or Monk used. I can't argue with ya, Designless. --iFredCat 17:31, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
