Forum:March 2010 Lightsworn HELP!!

here's my lightsworn deck, I've basically just made it legal for the new format but haven't tried it yet. I'm sure it could be better though.

L I guess limiting gardna was pointless for lightsworns with shield warrior around. Sure he only stops attacks to monsters but it's still pretty decent. OjaOwnage 07:30, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

Also I would take out oppression, IMO lightsworns don't need to bother with stopping the oppenent because once they get a heavy storm and a judgement dragon it's pretty much game. OjaOwnage 07:31, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

Er, Gold Sarco is unnecessary in this format, as of speed. Just put Outstanding Dog Marron in their place instead. As it can save you from Deck Out by draw. --FredCat100 17:22, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

my friend used to play marron in his LS deck but he kept dead-drawing it and by the time an LS deck runs out of cards the game has either gone horribly wrong or the LS player is about to win/will win the turn the last card is drawn. The Gold Sarc's will stay they prevent the milling of those all important JD's and Charges or to an extent heavy storm, the ability to search any card is too valuable when charge is at 1.--Littledj25 17:46, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

Get Rid of The Blackwing Gale... Synchros and LS Dont Work, Its Alot Faster To Rely On JD then worry about what your gonna make with "X" about of stars. Id suggest maybe a Call of the haunted or a magic cylinder, I Dont no why everyone gave up on cylinder, it works pretty well against synchros since they all have pretty decent about of attack to reflect. Say your opponent whips out a stardust, u cant bottomless it, or torr, or mirror force, or shining black C, but good old magic cylinder is a F U right to stardust's face -wink- TopDuelist 06:22, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

i see what you mean, but i'm not using gale for synchros but for it's shrink effect (and if i can get an arcanite magician or goyo out of the bargin then that's a plus but not really important)--Littledj25 08:46, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

If you wanna Synchro go for Spreader instead. Also , Lightsworn Sabre fixes your Attack Power problems.

Don't even BOTHER with Defensing in a Lightsworn deck, Just try to finish the game as fast as possible. Aurkus is not good, Also Celestia is 2 at most, Get more Garoths in my oppinion.IOkung 16:03, March 7, 2010 (UTC)

Extra Deck
any synchro monster

This deck is bases more around the light monsters. JD is no long the only powerhouse in this deck but the Archlord sees much play. magical merchant helps mill this deck very nicely, thus fuling the grave for jd or krystia. spells are generic cards and same with traps. Plague is in here bc its the only tuner that work with LS so you are never without a good synchro monster. i hope this helps 69.122.236.248 04:59, March 8, 2010 (UTC)

i think u should add 2 copies of pot of avarice because it can return 5 monsters from your graveyard such as cards like archlord kristya and judgement dragon
