I got a question with Mobious the Frost Monarch. Lets say I got 3 cards face down magic cylinder, mirror force and trap hole. When my opponent summons mobious I use trap hole, but since it was summoned he gets to destry 2 of my trap cards. My question is does he choose the 2 cards before I activate trap hole? Or do I trap hole then he chooses 2 cards? Another question is if my opponent summons a zaborg and I use compulsary unit on my own monther to return it to me hand does he kill himself? or it is simply a mistarget?

I'm not too sure on this but:

1. Your opponent get priority on Mobius' Effect, so he can target your Trap Hole, but you can activate it in response to that. 2. If you activate CED in response to Zaborg's effect returning your monster, his effect will disappear. 3-D 23:13, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

  • 3-D is correct, but I want to expand on that a little further for your benefit:
  • 1) When Mobius the Frost Monarch is tribute summoned, your opponent has the right to retain priority and activate its effect of destroying two of your spell/traps (he chooses two right here). You can then chain your Trap Hole (even if he chose the Trap Hole) to it to destroy Mobius, but the other spell/trap still gets destroyed.
  • 2) If you chain Compulsory Evacuation Device to Zaborg the Thunder Monarch's effect, and you choose the monster that he targeted, Zaborg will lose the target and the effect will disappear. I hope that helps! -- Sub 00:02, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

it helps a lot cuz i have a monarch deck n we were just arguing about that

Note that "Monarch" monsters have Trigger Effects, and you don't use Priority to activate Trigger Effects like these. After the "Monarch" is Summoned, its effect activates automatically before either player can do anything.
Other than that, they're correct.
