Forum:Monster Effect Equips?

When a monster like Blast Sphere or Shocktopus activates an effect where they become equipped to a monster, are they able to be dispelled as if they were Equip Spell Cards, via cards like Dust Tornado? Zorpheus (talkcontribs) 04:12, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

IIRC yes; if a card is reated/becomes an equip card unless it says otherwise it suffers the same weaknesses and advantages as an originally printed equip card. But I could be wrong --slave(command) 05:43, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

I'd like confirmation on that. Also, an additional question: Does a monster equipped to another monster take up an available spell/trap card slot for either player? Zorpheus (talkcontribs) 07:22, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

From when I was taught how to play yes*, although I have rarely used any monsters that act as equip cards and haven't played in a while and yeah - someone who knows rules please halp? come and confirm or revoke just halp XD :)

A monster that becomes and equipe spell cards and would only take a space in the controller spell and trap card zone even if the equiped monster card is equiped to an opponent's monster card. You cannot activated magic jammer, and/or Dark Bribe to the activation of the effect of monster card that becomes a equiped spell card, since they will only be equiped spell card when they resolve. MST and simmilar cards can destroy equiped monsters if they are threated has an equiped spell card. If Imperial order, and/or Emperor's holiday is face-up on the field you can still equiped your monster to another monster cards, however once the equiped monster is in your spell and trap card zone, it will remain equiped however it's equiped card effect is negated by Imperial order, or Emperor's holiday. The only three difference between Imperial order, and Emperor's holiday is; Imperial order has an option maintenance cost, while emperor's holiday does not, Imperial order negated the effect of all spell cards, while emperor's holiday only negated equiped cards, now for the third and final difference, Imperial order will not negated the effect of equiped trap cards since their are not spell cards, Emperor's holiday will negated the effect of equiped trap cards since they are equipe cards.Supernickid (talkcontribs) 15:15, August 9, 2013 (UTC)
