Player A has a set Morphing Jar 2 and a set All-Out Attacks Player B has two monsters

Player A flips summons Morphing Jar 2 and both players special summon their respective face down monsters then player A activates All-Out Attacks. If the monsters on player A's side is another Morphing Jar 2 and the monsters on player b's side is a Man-Eater Bug and a Penguin Soldier, who's effect will activate first? Does player A get priority to activate MJ#2's effect before player b's monsters??

  • Morphing Jar #2 All-Out Attacks must be face-up on the field when the monster(s) is Special Summoned. In your example, it will not flip the monsters face-up. By the way, if multiple Flip Effects are flipped face-up simultaneously, then their effects will form a chain according to SEGOC's rules. So Morphing Jar #2 will be chain link 1 (as turn player's mandatory effect), Man-Eater Bug will be chain link 2 (as non-turn player's mandatory effect), and Penguin Soldier will be chain link 3 (as non-turn player's optional effect). Morphing Jar 2 has to be face up on the field when the monster is summoned? Doesn't his effect return himself back to the deck as well? And in my example, wont All-Out Attacks flip up the monsters?

Oh, so if Man-Eater Bug is chain link 2 and Morphing Jar 2 is chain link 1, who's effect takes place first?

Sorry! I meant All-Out Attacks must be face-up on the field when the monster(s) is Special Summoned.
Morphing Jar #2 also returns itself to the Deck, except if it was flipped and destroyed by battle.
In your example All-Out Attacks will not flip the monsters since it was activated after Morphing Jar #2 has already Summoned the monster.
Also, a chain always resolve backwards. So Man-Eater Bug should resolve first, and then Morphing Jar #2.

Alright! Thank you very much. Also what happens if I have a Tornado Bird and a Morphing Jar 2 when A-OA flips them up? Since they both have manditory effects does the turn player get to choose which one to activate first?

Correct! You choose the order of the chain links. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 12:33, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
Minor correction: "Penguin Soldier" has a Flip Effect, and Flip Effects are always mandatory. They will always activate, even if you choose not to do anything with the effect. In the original example, "Penguin Soldier" and "Man-Eater Bug" will be Chain Links 2 and 3, in whichever order that Player B wants. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 20:20, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
Oh! I thought Penguin Soldier was a pseudo-Flip effect. Thanks for the correction! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 23:31, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
