Forum:Need help selecting a new deck

So Ive run a MachinaCyber deck, and a Dragunity deck competitively. I have a Beatstick Fairy, a Red-Eyes, and Junk deck I use when I get board of competitive play and I have a Blue-Eyes deck for giggles.

Now Im looking to start another serious deck. Id like to get a few opinions:

  • Should I continue with my beatstick fairy, and just make it competitive? Why or why not?
  • What about my Junk (more of a junk-synchron deck) or Red-eyes?

I dont want to do anything my friends have done so the decks I CANNOT make are:

Zombie, Glad Beast, Cloudian, Warrior-toolbox, Karakuri, Spellcaster, and E-HERO

Im looking for something with a strategy a bit different than the decks Ive already used and something that wont cost me 10000000000000000000000000000000000000 dollars, although I would like to put some money into this. I already have a full extra deck.

Any ideas? Id like a lot of suggestions if youre able to contribute. Thanks :)

Burn decks are fun, and can be good. And they are HELLA cheap. I'd suggest Chain Burn as it's the most consistent burn deck you can make right now. -- Summoned Skull 2: Electric Boogaloo 04:43, January 15, 2012 (UTC)

I'd say if you want something that has some questionable amount of potential to be competitive, you can try out an Alien deck. The majority of it's good monsters are light so you could possibly make a chaos build. Got some nice quickplays yet lacking otherwise for support. Beatdown like you are used to, is reasonable as thier effects and counters stack rapidly. The creature control build is not too shabby; very rapidly it can turn the tables or even overlay pretty much anything with Mass Hypnosis for example. It can be hard to keep track but the deck's fun. Heck you can even get some decent use out've W Nebula and Offering to the Snake Deity for something like this to make it trickier. 76.102.180.94 (talk) 06:24, January 15, 2012 (UTC)

something that ive been playing competitively for a few years and it tops quite often in locals is a worm deck. anti-meta at its finest, imo. removal, removal, removal, HUGE monsters, no need for any synchro/xyz crap unless necessary. really recommend looking into it.

Thanks guys! Im looking for a lot of reccommendations so keep 'em coming! Thedarkdoor (talkcontribs) 15:28, January 15, 2012 (UTC)thedarkdoor

Pretty soon, the red-eyes deck might get competitive with the release of the new dragon structure deck. So, that is a very viable option. I think Gishki are a relatively competitive deck. They have great recycling abilities. All the decks I've dueled against seemed very combo based but cool.

Have you thought about destiny heroes? My friend has an awesome D-HERO Dogma/Stall deck. Its pretty crazy! 69.124.240.127 (talk) 17:49, January 15, 2012 (UTC)
