So im looking for any comments and suggestions on how to improve my deck ad get it tournament leagal.Elf Lord 7 (talk • contribs) 20:17, March 21, 2014 (UTC)
First, to address the tournament legality issue:
- -1 Pot of Greed
- -2 Graceful Charity
Those cards are banned in Advanced Format. As for improving the Deck, you might want to look here for some general tips to your strategy. Don't expect to win many tournaments though, since stall-burn is easily eaten up by the meta. --Gadjiltron (talk • contribs) 00:46, March 22, 2014 (UTC)
whats the meta and is there a better type of burn deck tht might work better or should I just abandon a burn deck and make a different type? Elf Lord 7 (talk • contribs) 06:47, March 22, 2014 (UTC)
The current meta is pretty much most of the recent archetypes. Evilswarms, Constellars, Fire Fists, Sylvans, maybe the occasional Ghostricks and Madolches. And not to forget some old archetypes like Lightsworns and Machina. Lots of the Decks nowadays boast the ability to combo off each other and Summon a bunch of monsters in a flash, almost requiring an offensive pressure to check them, which is something a burn-lock Deck isn't specialized in.
On the other hand, there exist explosive burn strategies that can hold their own against the modern, aggressive archetypes. As much as players hate them, they're Burn's only niche in the competitive scene. See herefor more details. They may be inconsistent, but you can win a few matches in tournaments just by surprise factor alone. --Gadjiltron (talk • contribs) 08:47, March 22, 2014 (UTC)
- To be honest, the only burn decks I'd consider using are Chain Strike/Chain-Heal Burn. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 18:43, March 22, 2014 (UTC)
