I thought it would be interesting if they made another format that took the ban list from an older ban list and allowed it to be played today. The rules would be something like this:
1)If you use something like the "September 2004 Ban list" then you CAN ONLY USE THE CARDS THAT WERE MADE AT THAT TIME PERIOD. So you can't make a synchro chaos emperor deck :P 2)Only certain ban lists would be available. 3)You must tell your opponent would list your going by if your going by a different list.

I think it's a little complicated. Especially with any new players, that would a severe prejudice, granted some people may have created amazing decks from old cards, and newer players would have to assimilate to that rule. --Overlordzorc 06:53, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
this is very very difficult for me to say, because I LOOOOOOOVE the old cardlists, and you have no idea how much I would love to level the playing field xD but I'm happy that duelists are free to choose the cards they wish to play with, whether they are new or old. I play with cards that are all two-years-old, and I always feel like I've got my job cut out for me whenever I face the latest meta-decks. despite this, I've proven to be a force to be reckoned with my old cards, and I enjoy the extra challenge.

old school chaos deck vs todays Lightsworns
I thought it would be interesting to see which of these decks would win. Seeing as how both decks have their 2 main cards (2 Judgment Dragons and both Envoys)it would be Hell. Cloak007 21:21, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
