I'm rebuilding my old school deck, and I'm not interested in any synchro or XYZ cards. I'm just here to build my deck again after taking a hiatus, and no tournament ruling or ban card etc.

I need help/suggestions on my deck to know what card can work and what doesn't work, and I was considering card such as Sakuretsu Armor, Spell of Pain, Strike Ninja, Trap Hole, etc... I know I have many spell/trap cards, but need help on monster card and balancing everything out!

What deck are you trying to build? That should be your first decision.--MasterMarik (talkcontribs) 19:29, December 27, 2013 (UTC)

Ninjanerd7 (talkcontribs) 19:45, December 27, 2013 (UTC) I'm trying to build a deck of beatdown/stall deck where I can control the field and answers to everything my opponent throw at me killing their strategy, and as to monster types I like variation types where I can give my opponent a hard times.

Take out Drillago and Reflect Bounder. They're not only weak but Reflect Bounder will only survive one battle and Drillago is very limited on when it can attack directly. Also get rid of Ominous Fortunetelling as your success is pretty low and very little benefit is given when you succeed. Negate Attack and Battle Fader are better stall cards as they also end the Battle Phase. This is also not planned for tournament, correct?--MasterMarik (Dragoncontribs) 19:54, December 27, 2013 (UTC)

I don't have Negate Attack or Battle Fader, but does Waboku count too since it has similar effect to Negate Attack, and I'm not using this deck for tournament, just want to build a great deck I can use and play with. Ninjanerd7 (talkcontribs) 20:00, December 27, 2013 (UTC)

Waboku is a decent card too and in fact is probably better than Scrap-Iron Scarecrow.--MasterMarik (talkcontribs) 20:38, December 27, 2013 (UTC)

Iwas actually in a similar position not long ago, coming back in with my Dragon deck, the key here is to find an Archetype similar to the original basis of your deck, like, for me, dragon evolved into Dragunity, or, for you, I could see Light evolving into LightswornDjt08031996 (talkcontribs) 23:57, December 27, 2013 (UTC)
