Can I use Phantom of Chaos to remove an effect Synchro Monster to gain it's effect and name, or does it only work on "regular" monsters? For example: if I have Red Dragon Archfiend in my graveyard and Phantom of Chaos, Majestic Dragon, and a level 5 monster on the field, can I use Phantom of Chaos to remove Red Archfiend to then synchro summon Majestic Red Dragon? --Azure Knight-Zeo 00:45, March 1, 2010 (UTC)

Is he(Red Dragon Archfiend) or is he not an effect monster? It just said "Effect Monster", it doesn't say what kind of effect monster. 71.156.41.90 01:34, March 1, 2010 (UTC)
it gains the effect and the name so i'd assume that it works.--Dandorian
- It works on Synchro Monsters that have effects. Your example with "Red Dragon Archfiend" is legal, since "Red Dragon Archfiend" is an Effect Monster.
- It doesn't work on Synchro Monsters without effects. For example, you can't copy "Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth".
