Credit to Helix-king for the pun. This deck aims do what Black Garden decks do best - aggravate your opponent by messing up their summons. The difference here is that I'm using a card to lock my opponent out of summoning monsters entirely!

This deck is built around the combo of Cactus Bouncer and Black Garden - a combo that can be intensely difficult for the opponent to deal with. If I can summon Cactus Bouncer and activate Black Garden, then as soon as my opponent summons any monster their special summons are locked down! The Rose Token will be generated by Black Garden and they'll be in deep trouble, because they'll probably be unable to attack over my monster. Also, if I summon anything they won't get tokens!

I have 3 Cactus Bouncers as the first card in the deck - they create the lock. Koa'ki Meiru Gravirose is also included because of its beatsticking ability, and the useful milling it provides. Botanical Lion is a good card to set with Black Garden on-field, and if I flip summon it next turn it will have an unaffected ATK value. Lonefire Blossom and Tytannial are primarily useful when I have neither Black Garden nor Cactus Bouncer on the field, but they shouldn't be a huge problem if I don't. Besides, I can always mill Lonefire with Gravirose to reduce the potential of dead draws.

Meanwhile, there's a bit of a DARK support engine at work. Three Necro Gardnas provide great defense, and have many ways to be milled to the graveyard. Breaker the Magical Warrior is a beatstick with S/T removal built in, though I'm still unsure what its ATK will end up as when it is summoned. Violet Witch searches out Cactus, Gravirose, and even Lonefire. Finally, Caius is a great removal card and fairly powerful.

The first spell card is Black Garden, which is the other half of my deadly combo. Two Terraformings search out the Gardens and thin the deck. Mark of the Rose allows for some interesting strategies, adding speed to the deck. Miracle Fertilizer, though it doesn't help much for Cactus, is useful for all the other plants, including Tytannial and Lonefire. Allure of Darkness gives me draw power with the 9 DARK monsters in the deck. MST and Brain Control are staples; Monster Reincarnation comes in as a way to reuse Cactus Bouncer.

The first trap card, Raigeki Break, is a generally useful card, and can discard Necro Gardnas and other dead cards. Dark Bribe and Solemn Judgment protect my Black Garden and Cactus Bouncer from threats. Finally, Mirror Force can help against attacks.

There is an extra deck, but I'm too lazy to show it. Tell me what you think of this concept deck. Runer5h 03:13, February 2, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

Thank you, but I think credit goes to Akiza for the pun.--Helix-king 12:58, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

Huh, I suppose you're right. Well, any ideas about how to improve the deck? Runer5h 20:29, February 2, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

Instead of Miracle Fertilizer and Allure of Darkness, what do you think of The World Tree and Fragrance Storm?--Helix-king 22:29, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

.........Damn, you beat me to it. I was hoping I would be the first to make this. I have my build printed out on paper, and I was just about to post it, when I see this. Anyway, I didn't include Necro Gardna or Gravirose, that's an amazing idea that I completely forgot. Also, I included Thunder King Rai-Oh. More lockdown, and cancel a Special Summon when the Bouncer isn't out? Also, I included Lord Poison. If I'm correct, then you CAN activate him and Lonefire when Cactus Bouncer is in play, as long as they were the only other Plant on the field.

  • 1. Have Lord Poison/Lonefire and Cactus Bouncer.
  • 2. Ram Lord Poison into a bigger monster (Rose Token?) or Tribute Lonefire.
  • 3. Since you don't have another Plant monster, Bouncer's effect is moot.
  • 4. Special Summon a Plant from the Graveyard/Deck.
  • 5. The lock continues, only this time you have a beatstick!

That's how I'm hoping it works. Oh, and no Pollinosis? What's better then locking down their Special Summons? Locking down their Normal Summons/Spells/Traps, of course! And with the cost being a Plant-type monster, you can give up a Rose Token to remove the Bouncer lock if you want to Special Summon next turn.--Akiza Izayoi 22:48, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, silly me - I forgot about Pollinosis. As for Lord Poison... eh, I'm unsure about how well that would work. Thunder King might be hard to fit in, but I was unsure. Can you post your build here, for comparison? Runer5h 02:26, February 3, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h
Oh, and you can't use Lonefire - the special summon begins while the lock is in play. Lonefire would work fine, because the special summon is activated when it is off-field. Runer5h 02:41, February 3, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

This is what I have so far.--Akiza Izayoi 03:00, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

I like it. I can guess why you'd have Nobleman of Crossout, and Compulsory Evacuation Device (a card I may even insert into my deck) but why Fragrance Storm? The way I see it, because Cactus Bouncer stoppers the flow of Rose Tokens to the field, there won't be that many plants at all to keep the lock alive. Runer5h 04:23, February 3, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

Well, If this deck is going to win, surely you expect to have more than 2 plants on the field, right?--Helix-king 06:00, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

I've played Plants since they where probably out and i gotta say, you can always try the beatstick plants like Cactus Fighter in the deck, His effect to summon a token will be negated, but then again Lion's stronger and has better def to survive a flip when black garden is up, play 3 LIONS!!! The fact that it cant be brain controlled and whatnot is even better. Hmm i dont mean to be mean or anything but i think i like Runer's deck better, tho id lose one Tytannial, and have you guys considered Maybe trying to fit in a Prince of Trusdale? I know its kinda slow and with black garden it would be a pain to flip, then change to def the turn after, but the att and def boost might really help the Cactus bouncer and Lion's gravirose etc. It would make them 2300 which is almost a gigaplant/black rose so thats pretty cool, Ill try to post my version of this deck but it might take some time, Anyway, Ya o.o --TopDuelist

OHHH AND PS, about the Lonefire/Lord Poison thing, I dont think Lonefire will work, Cause if you think about it, If you have a Botanical Lion on the field and no cards in your grave, you CANT use Black gardens eff to Destroy Lion, Then Summon the SAME lion, so the lonefire, even tho its being tributed, Might not work, But then again, Lumina can discard a card and summon that same card (if its a lvl 4- Lightsworn anyway) so Im not sure =x --TopDuelist

What? where did botanical lion come into play with lonefire/lord poison? And I don't think they are using black garden elusively for the effect to special summon, but for the ability to halve monsters attacks, making cactus fighter a legitimate beatstick. --Helix-king 06:47, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, the token effect will only come into play when Cactus Bouncer's lock effect is not in play. Runer5h 20:27, February 3, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

But what if I want to Special Summon, while I have a single non-Cactus Bouncer out? Simply turn that monster (or an opponent's, if anything else), into a wonderful scent, while drawing? And I added Gold Sarcophagus as a way to sneak around Rai-Oh!.--Akiza Izayoi 22:50, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

it took me a minute to get that. XD--Helix-king 22:52, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

What's Monk for? It can't summon Cactus Bouncer... Runer5h 23:43, February 3, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

Mostly Rai-Oh and Violet Witch. I realize that he can be swapped, but while I was making the deck, I got sort of a "deck-builder's block" and couldn't think of anything else. He's probably getting kicked out for Gravirose.--Akiza Izayoi 00:24, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
