I'm kinda confused because of this cards last sentence: "You cannot Special Summon during the turn you activate this card". Someone claimed that this restriction is the "cost" of this card, so if it gets negated, the restriction still applies. Is that true?
Also, once I was told that you can special summon before activating this card. I'm pretty sure that's not how it works, but I would like to know if it is actually possible. - BronzeJohnson (talk • contribs) 19:33, December 1, 2013 (UTC)
- If its activation is negated, you can activate another. If only its eff is negated, you can't.

For "You cannot do X during the turn you activate this card/effect", it means that if you already did action X, you can't activate the effect later that turn, and vice versa. --Gadjiltron (talk • contribs) 12:34, December 2, 2013 (UTC)
It's also goo to note that if a special summon was attempted but negated, such as Monster Reborn, then you can still activate Pot of Duality. DexxIsBack (talk • contribs) 19:54, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
