Can you use Prime Material Dragon's effect to negate the effect of when Light and Darkness Dragon blows up your field? If so, then will i still get LADD's effect of getting a monster back?
Also, can you use Compulse any time in the damage step?

1: To my knowledge yes you can use Prime Material Dragons effect on LADD but it will destroy LADD anyway since Prime says "negate its activation and destroy the card" so instead of LADD destroying itself Prime does instead.
2: Unsure
3: No, just like how you can't activate Divine Wraith to a piercer. Piercing is a automatic effect and does not actually "activate" unlike things like DAD or Judgment68.40.90.212 18:47, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

- 1) No. If you use the effect of "Prime Material Dragon", then you negate the entire effect of "Light and Darkness Dragon" - you negate both the destruction and the Special Summon. You cannot negate only one part of its effect.
- 2) "Compulsory Evacuation Device" cannot be activated in the Damage Step.
