Hello all, I am a casual duelest and mostly just duel against 4 of my freinds, but am concidering entering a local tournament. This is a deck that I built around the Dragon's Roar deck, adding and removing cards as I saw fit. With a total of 56 cards within the deck it is quite large. However the deck has faired well in duels due to the large amount of searcher cards within the deck, this deck also has several cards that require discarding cards from my hand, overall adding to the power of my Red Eyes Darkness Dragon when I summon it. But still, the deck could probably benifit from some changes and some thinning. After a signifigant amount of editing my deck now has 45 cards. Feel welcome to post any changes you might see helpful. Thank you. ~ Unknown019

in this form your deck is not competetive to the basic structure deck. drop all the non dragon monster at first. also drop: paladin of the white dragon, blue eyes white dragon, The Dragon Dwelling In The Cave, element dragon, spirit ryu, lusterdragons

add two Red Eyes Darkness Dragon, add two red eyes wyvern, add morphing jar

for the spellcard: drop the two poison of the old man, drop white dragon ritual, drop malovent nuzzler, drop graceful charity ( it is banned q.q)

add some staples like card destruction, lightning vortex, giant trunde and maybe future fusion and a five headed dragon to your extradeck. maybe Inferno Fire Blast would work, don´t know.

your traps also aren´t that usefull. maybe dont run many traps and use royal decree.

your deck needs a lot of improvement to stand against a well build deck longer then 3 turns. 87.147.252.218 01:58, May 28, 2010 (UTC)

its not that bad, but definitly NOT tournament ready. cut the deck size down to 40-45 cards. get yourself red eyes darkness metal dragons, prime material, & red eyes wverns. dumping cards into the graveyard will help alleviate the problems of high star dragons (blue eyes, etc). future fusion and trade in will help a bit, so will dragon's mirror. red eyes darkness metal dragon is essential and a must. something to consider also is that tournaments are really strict, there will b decks like dandysychro, blackwings, lightsworns, & armed darkness decks run rampant. make full use of essential trap cards, like d-prison, mirror force, dark bribe and solemn judgment and you will be fine. currently dragon decks are expensive and pricey. it will run you anywhere from 100-200 dollars.

trade in won´t work in a red eyes deck, because you don´t have a target. red eyes black dragon is a 7 star monster and darkness is a 10 star monster, trade in only works with 8 star monsters. @above: sign your posts pls 87.147.252.218 12:40, May 28, 2010 (UTC)

I dumped several of the cards that were reccomended to be dumped. My deck is now down to 46 cards & all changes have been updated to the decklist. I'll see if I can get a hold of a future fusion, Dragon's mirrior, and five headed dragon. I already have a MRD b. Skull dragon that could be usefull. And now that I think of it, I have a freind that I am almost certian has a Red eyes Darkness metal Dragon, so I'll see if I can make a deal for it. ~Unknown019

if you want this to be tourney ready it still needs a little work. I tried to run a dragon deck for years to no avail. you get swamped in the meta game.

lets see

Drop Dragon dwelling the cave, and element dragon, i don't see why you want dekoichi. Dragon dwelling in the cave can be replaced with another 2000 defense monster with an effect like another golem dragon for the lockdown, or debris dragon for synchros. Element dragon has no use. and decoy should be lowered to 2 at least. Your opponent will more likely get rid of decoy with a card effect than attack it so i never saw the use in them.

I don't like the focus on REDD but that is your deck so i wont say otherwise but a REDMD dragon runs so much smoother with effectuive high levels it can summon and REDD has low attack strength and no effect.

Add+ exploder dragon should be at 2 awesome monster to run into high stars and to reveal defense monsters without risking damage. you can always try running white stone and blue eyes, they work well with REDMD and think about prime material dragon.

are you going to run synchros? Kearowind 20:37, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

oh and use red eyes wyvern. its great for recycling your REDMD and it has decent attack at 1800. Kearowind 20:38, June 10, 2010 (UTC)

I Don't have many syncros but suppose I will run the ones that I can. Still Haven't been able to track down a REDMD or a red eye wyvern, but I did manage to snag a Prime Material Dragon, although I'm not quite shure how to fit it in to my deck. (Nvm, moved white horned dragon to side deck & replaced it with prime material) I'm Also looking for ways to increase my draw power. --Unknown019 17:43, June 13, 2010 (UTC)
