Forum:Rate my Disaster Dragon deck

I recently got the new "Dragons Collide" Structure deck and after testing it out, I liked how it played. Before I had gotten it though, one of my friends had shown me his deck, which he had made himself, which I also liked. Anyways, I took both those decks (my friend wrote down what cards were in his deck) and took elements from both decks and added in a few of my own.

This is what I came up with. (Some cards I gave details on why I'm using it have 'V's adter their name):

V = I prefer Brionac over Trishula, because Brionac's effect is reusable unlike Trishula's.

VV = I liked No. 69's effect. Who says the deck has to be entirely dragons.

VVV = My friend used Fiendish Chain, which I don't have, so I am using Shadow Spell instead.

Also, any card with a capital 'Z' are cards I am more willing to swap out for better Cards. Burst Breath and A Wingbeat of a Giant Dragon are cards I am not sure whether to keep or not. I havn't switched out Wingbeat yet because I think I am able to summon Dark Armed Dragon, activate Wingbeat, then re-summon Dark Armed Dragon in the same turn as long as I still have exactly 3 DARK-Att. monsters in my graveyard.

If anyone has changes I could make, don't re-post another deck again, just tell me what card I should add and what card I should switch it with. Nothinglord (talkcontribs) 00:43, February 19, 2012 (UTC)

The problem here, as I see it, is that there are too many ways you can go with this deck. Without knowing what your preferences are, it's hard to tell you what you should take out. Take a few minutes to read through this article:Deck Construction. That should help you better understand what I mean.
Now, for my thoughts - you seem to have the makings of a Blue-Eyes deck in here, but, not being sure if that's what you'd like, I hesistate to make any suggestions. Also, do you have access to any other cards (meaning, can you buy any more), or are you limited to trading for things with your friends? That will influence how people can help you too.
Give it some thought, and post your decisions/answers. Someone is bound to help you then. ---Kungfu-mama (Talk) 19:35, February 22, 2012 (UTC)
The main focus of my deck is similar to a generic Disaster Dragon deck, with Twilight/Chaos elements. For example, I can send monsters from my deck to the Graveyard (Future Fusion, Darkflare Dragon), where they can be special summoned to the field (Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon) or added to my hand (Herald of Creation). I am also able to banish cards from my graveyard to summon monsters and bring the banished monsters back later, by summoning them or adding them to my hand. Essentially, I can send and summon my monsters to/from almost anywhere.
