On the SDP relinquished, it says "When your opponent's monster attacks this monster with an ATK higher than "Relinquished", the equipped monster is destroyed instead of "Relinquished". Any Life Point damage you receive from the attacking monster when "Relinquished" is equipped is also inflicted on your opponent." On the newer relinquished, it says "If this card is destroyed as a result of battle, the equipped monster is destroyed instead, and any battle damage you received from the battle is also inflicted to your opponent's Life Points."
There's a big difference between the two effects because the first one means that it if you use relinquished to attack a monster with higher atk, relinquished effect doesn't activate destroying the equip monster. It has to have your opponent's monster attack it. But for the second relinquished, it means that you could use it to attack your opponent's monster with higher atk and the equip monster will be destroyed.
So my question is, which relinquished is correct? The SDP one or the newer ones?
