hi, me and my brother always have this situation come up, i attack Reptilianne Naga with my Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode monster. Am i able to tribute my stardust dragon to negate naga's reduce atk to 0 effect, and destroy it?24.45.199.184 (talk) 15:02, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

no. The attack reducing effect is continous, you can't negate continous effects since they never activate. You only could activate the effect in the end phase, but only if naga is in defense position at that time. -dest- (talkcontribs) 15:08, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

Well, I just checked her article, her effect is Continuous/Trigger. So I am such that dest got the point, the "Trigger" part only approve when she was attacking by other monster and activate to reduce the ATK points. And for Continuous part, it approve to both effects of her (not destroy by battle and reduce atk points). So I would believe that Assault Mode cannot stop that, like Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 cannot stop the "Level Limit - Area B" when he is summoning onto the field after have LV6 destroyed a monster during that time. Remember that difficult technology of the game. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 15:11, August 22, 2010 (UTC)
Zeroing the monster's ATK is a Trigger Effect, so "Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode" can negate it. (The rulings say that the effect activates, which means that it starts a Chain Link, so it can't be Continuous.) --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 15:20, August 22, 2010 (UTC)
Ah well, that's what my instinct was telling me before I respond... Continuous is for her indestructible effect after all while Trigger place on her reduce power. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 15:24, August 22, 2010 (UTC)
