Whoops about United, just edited it out. I think Trunade becomes even more deadly with Hyper Librarian and that Gateway is a very lucky draw for a Six Samurai duelist, so much so that they include 3 Upstart Goblin in their deck. Taking Trunade out would mean Hyper Librarian, as well as any very powerful monster, becomes easier to take down, and the fact that we have many other fairer Spell/ Trap destruction/ negation cards like Trap Stun, Seven Tools, Nobleman of Extermination, MST, Royal Decree, etc., leaves us with more of a reason to ban Trunade. Taking Gateway out would leave Samurai duelists still very strong, with the ability to main deck such tech as Dimensional Fissure, but a lot less lucky, and so Upstart Goblin would probably see less play. 82.35.91.113 (talk) 13:41, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

Why, oh why?

Why would we ban Trunade to hurt Librarian? Why not Limit or Ban Librarian? Trunade is fine at one.

Gateway isn't the problem, it's Smoke Signal and Shi En.

Lonefire? Doubt it.

Trish? Well, obviously! I don't know who screwed up for this to be Unlimited in the TCG, but it will be fixed.

Tengu I kinda agree with, but it's TCG exclusive so it won't be touched.

Bottomless? You must be crazy.

Nobody screwed up Trishula. We didn't have Trishula when they did so they didn't Limit it for us at the time just like Sixth Sense isn't banned for us.BobaFett2 (talk)

Librarian is going to stay alive for another format, and one Librarian is enough to do a whole lot of damage, so limiting it won't do much to stop its power, but banning Trunade will and this is more feasible due to the whole lot of other Spell/ Trap destruction/ negation cards out there. Lonefire has a very powerful engine, gets another in the grave, and makes Pot of Avarice and Debris Dragon too easy, so should be limited. I can see Bottomless becoming unlimited. Saying Smoke Signal and Shi En are problems is basically saying all Six Samurais are problems, and that's not the case since they haven't come first in the past few YCS tournaments. Konami would not want to ban the archetype, just any broken cards, so that duelists won't have to say 'I can beat Six Samurais only if they don't start with Gateway'. The problem is not Gateway. It's powerful but it's easy to stop. The problem is Shien's Smoke Signal. That gives them 5 search cards + 3 Special Summon from deck cards + 3 Draw Cards.BobaFett2 (talk)

Gateway is not easy to stop when you go second against a double Shi En and others provided to them by Gateway, and you'd be lucky to stop it if you go first. The search cards give them consistency which is not broken. Check this out: WCQ: European Championship 2011 Top 8 Feature Match. They usually don't need Shien's Smoke Signal to capitalise on Gateway, especially with all the Grandmasters and Kizans flying in from the hand. Gateway = a lot of luck = broken. Shien's Smoke Signal = consistency which can be beaten (he drew it in games 2 and 3 and still lost). If there were two very similar Six Samurai builds in a tournament, and only one would top, it would most likely be the one that drew Gateway more often.

Lappyzard's Predictions

Some of these may sound a bit strange, but so did a lot of my predictions for March, many of which turned out to be correct. Anyways...

Forbidden:

• T.G. Hyper Librarian This card ridiculously broken. Limiting won't do a lot to hurt its power. If it's not banned, then just Limit this and let it run rampant for another format.

Limited:

• Archlord Kristya I summon Kristya. gg?
• Lonefire Blossom It used to be: "My deck needs more speed." "Add Lightsworns." Now it's: "My deck needs more speed." "Add Plants."
• Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier It is in OCG, TCG has enjoyed unlimited Trish for a format, it's time to make things even.

Semi-Limited:

• Dewloren, Tiger Prince of the Ice Barrier "But the loop is gone cuz Mass Driver got banned!" If you want to know why, go on YouTube and look up Bahamut's Divine Performance Volume 2.
• Shien's Smoke Signal Sams are powerful even without being able to first turn Shi En every game. Bring Sams consistency down a bit and make them play at everyone else's level.
• Horn of the Phantom Beast Let's face it: this card is broken. It's seeing more and more play as people realize how good it is, especially in decks like TG which just dominated the North American WCQ.
• Destiny Draw Bringing this to 2 wouldn't suddenly bring TeleDAD back to its former glory days. There's no need for this to be on the list at all. It's not like D Heroes could become meta even if this were unlimited.

Unlimited:

• Magical Stone Excavation I have no idea why this is Semi'd.
• Megamorph Seriously, who runs this stuff?
• Ojama Trio Ok, thanks for all the Extra Synchro Material. Seriously, why?

Not Semi-Limited:

• Reborn Tengu Stop saying it will be. Completely ignoring the fact that it's TCG Exclusive, Reborn Tengu gives consistency to decks that haven't been able to top before. Look at Fabled, Scraps, Gadgets, all of them have topped recently thanks to Tengu. Tengu won't get hit because it gives consistency to weaker decks and levels the playing field. Remind you of anyone? Sounds pretty good. I wouldn't call Horn "broken"-it's an Equip Trap Card, meaning that it can be stopped by an MST. It gives advantage and ATK-it's very powerful, but I think it's more of a consistency booster than broken. Fableds could use it...BobaFett2 (talk)

I think Horn being semi-limited or even limited is a good call. It is broken, as those who play it or play against it come to realise, especially due to the fact that it can be activated during damage step, which is very important since your opponent can't chain Mirror Force, Dimensional Prison or MST to it. It's so good you have 'Anti-Monster Beast' decks with Pitch-Black Warwolf to use as a target. 82.35.91.113 (talk) 18:49, July 29, 2011 (UTC)

I hope destiny hero disk commander will be limited and, destiny draw, allure of darkness semi'd(unlimited?) I also think stratos should be unlimited, he isn't overpowered and only HERO decks use him, the banlist is too harsh on HEROES. It's almost impossible to plsay destiny HEROS due to limiting of destiny draw and allure

Are you...are you TROLLING?! Disk Commander is as abusable as ever, Allure is better than Pot of Greed for most DARK decks, and obviously you aren't thinking outside the box for Stratos.

trolling WTF I merely stated that the banlist is harsh on DEstiny HEROS, that is a matter of opinion ,and by no means "trolling"

as far as im aware monster reborn, COH and DE-synchro are only (conveinat ways abuse disk commander). and Im not trying to troll , im trying to engage in the conversation I dont play at national tournamnets and dont much about current metagame. Also how do i post my decklist(on my profile) to deck help i try to create table and it fails

Disk Commander is broken as hell. Limit Reverse x3. Call of the Haunted. Graceful Revival x3. Monster Reborn. And so forth. Each becomes a Pot of Greed that gives you Synchro/Tribute Material. Now THAT is broken. As for Stratos, he gives you searches. He's the Gadget of HERO decks but he searches for powerful stuff-get Prisma. Or Malicious and use Destiny Draw. Or Disk Commander (if it weren't banned). Allure of Darkness isn't a HERO exclusive card-it's an amazing card that makes a lot of decks faster. Destiny Draw should be Semi-Limited. Unlimited is stretching it-then D-HERO decks have four drawing cards and they still do have Malicious.BobaFett2 (talk)
