Well, I started messing around with some deck ideas and I remembered an unusual Dragon deck I used some time ago, and I felt the urge to improve it. I present...Solid Dragons.

It started out as swarming with easily replaceable monsters and powering them up, and it evolved into sort of a semi-anti-meta deck. The main idea is to power up my monsters with Solidarity while attempting to hinder my opponent. Here's the breakdown.

Not a lot of monsters in this one. Starting off, Masked Dragon can search out any monster in the deck, barring Lava Dragon. Flamvell Guard and Troop Dragon are primarily defense and deck thinning, respectivly, with guard being the main tuner for a rare synchro summon. Flamvell Dragnov is decently powerful with Solidarity, and burns my opponent when he's destroyed. He also has an effect that allows me to search an other copy, but we'll get to that later. Twin-Headed Behemoth has a nice revival effect, and Lava Dragon can provide some swarming. Last but not least, Magna Drago is the deck's main beatstick. With one Solidarity, he has a nice 2200 ATK and gains an additional 200 whenever he causes battle damage. The Synchros are really just a backup or an other way to get rid of monsters I don't want my opponent to get back.

Looking at spells, Solidarity is the main one here as it can give all my dragons a considerable boost just by having a dragon in my graveyard. Creature Swap, Enemy Controller and Brain Control allow me to take advantage of my opponent's monsters in different ways, like using them for synchro summons, fodder for Dragnov's effect, or just to move a monster for some extra attacks. Pot of Avarice may seem weird, but it lets me draw, re-use Masked and Troop Dragons, and my monsters usually hit the grave pretty quickly. Future Fusion serves two purposes. First, it lets me summon the mighty Five-Headed Dragon, and second, it dumps five dragons for pot of avarice. Level Limit - Area B can keep my monsters safe from attacks while still being able to attack, and lets me instantly use Lava Dragon's effect. MST and Stamping Destruction are S/T destruction.

Not many Traps either, but they have their uses. Gravity Bind is more stall to protect my monsters and Dark Bribe can negate S/T cards at little cost. DNA Tranplant is interesting. It can make all monsters on the field Fire, which means Dragnov can be used with ANY monster I took from my opponent, as well as mess with Honest, Machina Armored Unit, or any other attribute-reliant cards. Lastly, Skill Drain negates the effects of all monsters on the field. This could potentially devestate some decks, and doesn't really harm me since almost all of my monsters only have effects that activate in the graveyard.

Let me know what you think of this unusual deck. Decoy Dragon Lord 02:30, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Unusual? Hell, I think this is the only deck remotely capable of using Flamvell Dragnov. Oh, and Mind Control might work too. Runer5h 02:37, April 30, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

I'll take that as a compliment. OK, so I've run about 8 or 10 test duels and for the most part, it works great! The only major problems are that my hand gets drained of cards kinda fast and sometimes i can't draw Solidarity right away, so i think I need more draw power. So far I've been thinking about Cyber Valley. He'd be an other way to get rid of stolen monsters and he won't mess up Solidarity because he'll always end up being removed from play, and I can add One for One to search him. What do you think? I was JUST about to suggest the same thing! 68.167.69.197 19:57, April 30, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

OK, so far, I took out a Stamping Destruction for One for One and added 2 Cyber Valleys. That puts me at 42 cards, and I still want to add Mind Control. Any advice on what to take out? Decoy Dragon Lord 01:07, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, have you considered including Dread Dragon? It's another searcher so you can beat your opponent in card advantage, and it's a level 2 tuner. If you insert that, I would suggest taking out those Flamvell Guards for it. As for what to remove for Mind Control... I suggest taking out Future Fusion. This isn't a Dragon swarm deck, you know. Huh, Dread Dragon does sound good. I'll take out the guards for them. Also, good call on Future Fusion, it usually just gets destroyed anyway and I never seem to have a Pot of Avarice when it's around. Something else I was thinking about was maybe taking out just one DNA Transplant. It's almost never destroyed because it usually doesn't hurt my opponent much and only Dragnov can make use of it. The second one's basically a dead draw most of the time. Decoy Dragon Lord 19:48, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
