1) If i attack a D.D. warrior lady while it's face down, and my opponent activates it's effect, can i negate the effect of removing my stardust from play?

2) And if you can, i'd appreciate a list or couple of things Stradust Assault Mode can Not negate while it's attacking.

3) to what can i chain assault mode activate during my opponents turn?

4) If i attack a monster that sends back my regular stardust dragon to my hend or top of the deck, can i activate assault mode activate?

thanx in advanced. Justjaice 17:15, 30 April 2009 (UTC)justjaice

1) Yes. The effect of "Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode" can be activated in the Damage Step, so it can negate the effect of "D.D. Warrior Lady".
2) "Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode" cannot negate Counter Traps or Continuous Effects. Other than that, he can negate pretty much everything that begins a Chain Link. If you have any additional questions, just ask.
3) Other than Counter Traps and Continuous effects, "Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode" can negate almost anything that begins a Chain Link. It cannot negate Summons (both Normal Summons and things like "Cyber Dragon") or maintenance costs (like the discarding/revealing thing of most "Koa'ki Meiru" monsters) because those do not use Chains.
4) It depends. If the effect uses a Chain, then "Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode" can negate it. It can negate effects like those of "Wall of Illusion", "Legendary Jujitsu Master", "Hane-Hane". It cannot negate something like "Mystical Knight of Jackal" because "Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode" is already in the Graveyard, so it cannot Tribute itself.

More questions

1)If i attack a monster with stardust and my opponent activates shrink on my stardust, i had been told i cannot chain assault mode activate to the activation of shrink, because shrink activates in the damage step and that would mean i missed my timing, is this true?

2)one other question, Can i chain assault mode actiavte to my opponents draw phase? Justjaice 19:44, 30 April 2009 (UTC)justjaice

3) why can't stardust assault negate counter trap cards? Picasso 81189 22:30, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

  1. yes, but your opponent has to specifially activate Shrink during the damage step. (I catch my little brother with that all the time; he always chains to my attack before the damage step begins). this is because during the damage step, typically only cards that alter ATK and DEF can be activated. Assault Mode Activate doesn't, so it can't be activated during the damage step.
  2. I believe you can, although I believe it would be considered activated as chain link one, not "chained" to anything. someone check me on that.
  3. I would assume it's because counter traps are a spell speed 3, and monster effects only go as high as spell speed 1 and 2. only another spell speed 3 card (counter-trap) can be chained to a spell speed 3 card (counter-trap). Although I am not very familiar with either Stardust Dragon or Assault Mode monsters.

1) You have to ask your opponent when he is activating "Shrink". You cannot simply assume that it is during the Battle Step because your opponent does not say otherwise.
If the opponent says that it is during the Damage Step and he didn't give you the chance to respond to the attack, then he is rushing you. You can "rewind" so that you are still in the Battle Step where you can activate "Assault Mode Activate". (It's similar to Priority and your opponent activating "Trap Hole" before you can activate the effect of your monster.)
2) You can activate it during the Draw Phase, after your opponent draws. Note that your opponent has Priority, so he can activate an effect before you can activate "Assault Mode Activate". (Not that it makes much of a difference, but still.)
3) He is correct.
