Forum:Substitoad Exodia Deck

The idea is to summon Substitoad and one other monster, and use Substitoad's effect to thin the deck down to increase the chances of drawing all five pieces. if all the frogs are removed from the deck, there are only 17 cards left, including the 2 other Substitoads. Can anyone give me some tips to improve this deck? Anush1 08:27, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Pot of Avarice

I would go with three. It may increase the number of cards in your deck by three, but if you recycle three Poison Draw frogs, you can continue your Substitoading and go through each of those draw frogs, ridding your deck of three cards, and then drawing three cards to replace that. Overall, Pot of Avarice will shorten your deck by cycling three Poison Draw Frogs. It can also help recycle any lost Exodia parts that may have been discarded/milled. (By the way, 46 creativity points. I really love the deck idea.)--Akiza'sRose66 16:58, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Stalling

While it (may) add more cards to the deck it may be a good idea to add a Gravity Bind, Level Limit Area B, Messenger of Peace. It will make it more difficult for your opponent to destroy your Substitoad or any other frogs. Also, Jar of Greed is essentially a blank card. When near the bottom of your deck Reckless Greed could be useful as well. As another defense for your frogs, you could include a Wetlands as well.

You're close.

But I think you might want to try for the Dragonfrog Exodia OTK. It goes like this:

  1. Bring out Substitoad and another Frog.
  2. Activate D. Tribe.
  3. Activate Super Rejuvenation.
  4. Tribute frog after frog as many times as possible. In the end phase, draw the rest of your deck with Super Rejuvenation's effect, including the Exodia pieces. Runer5h 23:05, 28 July 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

HAHAHA

Oh, that's great, I want to try that sometime. (seems hard to pull off though, what do you think the count should be for each of those cards, besides the obvious X3 substitoad?--Akiza'sRose66 00:49, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

3 D. Tribe, and 3 Super Rejuvenation. And I'd use 3 Pot of Avarice as well as a draw engine; the effect of Substitoad means it'll never be a dead card. Runer5h 01:04, 29 July 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

All right then, i'll remember that. By the way, I looked at the Weekly Deck Competition, and I was wondering if you could find me a partner, since I don't know that many people around here except for you. Just when you get the time, if that's all right with you, or just give me their username. Thanks!!!--Akiza'sRose66 01:15, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
