Hey, this is a deck I am THINKING of constructing. Themed around insect with the powerhouse being EBI(Earthbound Immortal) Uru. I really want this deck to be competition-able as much as it can be!

24 Monsters/ 13 Spells/ 3 Traps Plot: Idea is to get some monsters destroyed at first.

Monsters: Howling Insect can help thin while also getting the field prepped for cards like Insect Neglect, Solidarity, and Spider Egg. Verdant Sanctuary can go well with Howling by getting Arsenal Bug to your hand while also getting an Insect on the field = Arsenal Bug can keep his high attack power. Spyder Spider is an important card, helping keep field presence alive by killing cards that were affected by either Stumbling or Spider Web. Cross-Sword Beetle goes very well with Stumbling and Spider Web also, taking advantage of the face up defense monsters. Bee List Soldier is used in conjunction with Spider Egg, tribute a token and him and you can draw two cards. Works REALLY well with Spyder Spider. Relinquished Spider is for a field wipe, also very good with Spyder Spider. Chainsaw Insect is sheer power card that goes well with Cross-Sword Beetle. Mother Spider is for destroying an opponent's monster that has fallen victim to Stumbling and Spider Web. EBI Uru is the powerhouse, being that it can attack directly and shift control of an opponent's monster. With a Spider token and EBI Uru while three Solidaritys up, it comes to 7900. This means that if you negate an attack with Spider Egg and tribute the two tokens, if you have another monster, you can potentially OTK someone.

Spells: Solidarity is for increasing attack power by ridiculous amounts. Stumbling and Spider Web is for Cross-Sword Beetle's piercing and protection. Verdant Sanctuary is for bringing more monsters to your hand so you don't get magic/trap locked(Unlikely). Insect Neglect is also for protection. Monster Reincarnation may seem weird, but it is for bringing back EBI Uru from death or a favored card.

Traps: Spider Egg is important. Although it only works when three insects are in the graveyard, you can shield an attack AND bring out three Spider Tokens, which can be tributed. With three Solidaritys, their attack power is 2500 each and a direct attack from that is 7500, 500 off from an OTK.

Flaws: Solidarity, Spider Web, and Spider Egg are key cards. Anytime you don't have Spider Web, your effectiveness lowers. Solidarity is even more so. Also, Spider Egg only works with 3 insects. This means removal of insects hinders the deck(pointing at Insect Neglect at times). Stumbling and Spider Web can easily mess up Cross-Sword and Chainsaw Insect, with your only defense being the two unreliable Insect Neglect and Spider Egg at a start of a duel. There is also very little Spell/Trap retrieval, making any effects that remove them painful. Also, there are no Spell or traps negation/destruction. EBI Uru is funked up if a field spell isn't on the field. Also, face-downs can be much scarier than face-ups.

This is my first posted deck, so there are probably going to be technical difficulties and I will attempt to fix them as fast as possible. I hope that there will be a lot of constructive feedback/critisism :-) Ebiuru 173.57.38.150 03:42, December 19, 2009 (UTC)

Relinquished Spider? It doesn't look like you have a reliable way to switch your opponent's monsters into DEF. I'd take some out (along with some Arsenal Bugs) for multiple copies of No Entry!! or perhaps Curse of Anubis. That'll help with activating Spyder Spider's effect, and works well with Cross-Sword Beetle. Runer5h 04:22, December 19, 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
Well, Spider Web and Stumbling are very reliable, specially Stumbling since it can stop OTK. With Spider Web in conjunction with Stumbling will keep my opponents in defense almost 50% of the time, or at least whenever they attack. The only way around it would be destroying either of those cards or running a burn deck. However, Curse of Anubis and No Entry!! would probably be worth making space for. I'm kind of shocked about Arsenal Bug though, when he's alone on the field, he'll have 1000 attack but if Solidarity is in effect, he'd be at a managable 1800. And if any insect gets on the field, he'll jump up to 2800. Ebiuru173.57.38.150 05:09, December 19, 2009 (UTC)Ebiuru

I'm not sure if this will help, but this is my version of an Uru deck.

Uru Insects

If I were you, always keep Verdant Sanctuary at 3. It gives you an endless supply of monsters, and use Pinch Hopper to bring out Uru from your hand instantly. I hope this helps.--Akiza Izayoi 15:23, December 19, 2009 (UTC)
