I was playing in a tournament last weekend and the situation was this: Mystic Plasma Zone activated, i summon Goblin Zombie ( wich was 1600 atk ), my oponent had to monsters and in response to the summon he activated bottomless traphole, i tried to activate torrential then, but a judge told that it wasn't valid, because you can not chain it to another cards activation, just to a summon, so i lost, is it true?Zmaster21 16:01, 20 August 2008 (UTC)zmaster21
- The judge was wrong. The last thing to resolve was still the Summon (activating "Bottomless Trap Hole" doesn't resolve anything), so the timing is still correct for "Torrential Tribute".
- If he says that again, tell him that if you use that logic, then you shouldn't be able to chain "Torrential Tribute"/"Bottomless Trap Hole" to "Mobius the Frost Monarch"'s effect since you'd be chaining to "Mobius"' effect. But everyone does it and knows that it's a legal move, so he must be wrong. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 17:40, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
