Can you use totem dragon's effect as two tributes for one monster, then tribute it to set a level 7 two-tribute monster? Will you have to reveal it before you set it to have your opponent confirm that it is indeed a dragon-type monster, as totem requires? Or does your opponent have to assume that it is?
For instance, can I tribute a totem dragon to set a yamata dragon, without having to confirm that it does meet the requirements of totem dragon's effect before i set it?
The reason this question comes up is because from what I have seen, yugioh often makes you confirm particular requirements with the opponent by revealing the card without it being written on the effect of a monster, such as searchers like sangan, and so on.

- Tribute Sets are special, you don't confirm anything at that time.
- You can get a judge to check that it is a valid monster, or keep track of that card and check it later. If the duel ends, the opponent must show that card if you ask them.
- Think of it like your opponent Setting Spell/Trap cards; you can't check them. If you think they are cheating (Infernity) and Set a monster card in the S/T card zone. You can only do the above steps.
