Forum:Tuningware clarification

From Yugipedia

Using a Tuningware for a synchro summon allows you to draw a card; even if the monster was not synchro summoned properly because of Solemn Warning or the like. because the main reason why it was sent to grave was for a synchro summon the only thing there is that it was 'successfully' used as a material as for the summoning of the monster its another matter right? because logically thinking the purpose was a success, and that was to:

  • use it a material for a synchro summon

the errata of the card didn't say:

  • If this card is sent to the Graveyard for a successful Synchro Summon, draw 1 card.

Please tell me if this logic of mine is right or just illogical. coz i just ran into reading its page and forums. and based on what i think using it and a successful synchro summon are two different things. I hope you're getting my point. help on this matter will surely be appreciated. long explanations and detailed examples would surely help.

I'm sorry i reposted it. I might sound like a spammer. i'm sorry for the inconvenience.—This unsigned comment was made by 180.194.250.244 (talkcontribs) 07:39, 2011 May 22

The effect won't activate. The Synchro Summon was negated, so "Tuningware" isn't considered to be sent to the Graveyard for any purpose. From Card Rulings:Quick Spanite:
If a monster like "Quick Spanite" or "Beast of the Pharaoh" is used as a Synchro Material Monster but the Synchro Summon is negated by a card like "Solemn Judgment", then the effect of "Quick Span-Knight" does not activate since the Synchro Summon was not successful.
and the rulings for "Zolga":
When a Tribute Summon using "Zolga" is negated by "Solemn Judgment", you don't increase your Life Points. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 07:48, May 22, 2011 (UTC)
