Forum:Vandalism reports

Is there any area for people to report vandals, or even a publicly-available admin list? There doesn't seem to be one that's easily found, and my user page was recently targeted by these two IPs, and I'd like them eradicated. —烏Γ (kaw at me), 01:33, July 28, 2011 (UTC)

A list of admins can be found here, though note that not all of them are active. In this case, there is no need for a block. They've not edited in six days and IPs can be used by more than one person. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 05:00, July 28, 2011 (UTC)
That being said, an admin noticeboard is something I've thought of some over the past couple days or so, and off-and-on over several months now. Project:Admin noticeboard, anyone? --Dinoguy1000 (talk contribs) as 208.124.74.56 (talk) 05:32, July 28, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for that link; couldn't find such a list anywhere, and having one available is always useful. Also, thanks Deltaneos for deleting that. —烏Γ (kaw at me), 01:01, July 29, 2011 (UTC)
Special:ListUsers/sysop has a last logged in date and a last edited date, so you can see which ones are active. In general, I'd advise basing who's active on the last edit rather than last login. -- Deltaneos (talk) 16:32, July 30, 2011 (UTC)

Would it be possible to request a semi-protect of my userpage and talk page, then? —烏Γ (kaw at me), 20:21, July 31, 2011 (UTC)

I think sometime next week, Wikia will be updating user page formats. The second most recent user page format, which wasn't rolled out here, included a setting which made only admins and the associated user able to edit user pages (excluding sub pages). If that setting is included in next week's update, you won't need user page protection.
Protecting talk pages is uncommon, since unregistered users should be allowed to communicate with you too. Your talk page has only been abused once, it shouldn't need protection. -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:35, July 31, 2011 (UTC)

I don't know whether this is the right place to post such request, but I want someone to check a renamed card article. "Thunder Short" was moved to "Thunder Shot" by this guy, although Google Translate translates the Japanese Kana "サンダー・ショート" as "Thunder Short" not "Thunder Shot". --Aged Goblin (talkcontribs) 14:02, August 1, 2011 (UTC)

I have a cursory knowledge of how things are pronounced in Japanese simply from watching YGO. I would say "Thunder Shot" is correct based on the romaji. However, a look at the edit history shows III moving the article to "Thunder Short" at one point in the past, and I trust his translations. So "Thunder Short" is probably correct. In either case, I highly doubt the edit was maliciously intended. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 15:18, August 1, 2011 (UTC)
