Forum:You Say You Want a Revolution, Well...

You know, we all want to change the world. Kudos to you if you've already figured out that this deck is about Huge Revolution. It's a relatively-easy to use way to take down your opponent's entire hand and field, so I've made a deck that can use this card effectively (I hope).

Here's the deck. I have 3 each of Oppressed People. People Running About, and United Resistance. Sangan and Emissary of the Afterlife are searchers. Finally, D.D. Trainer is some good defense, and is Dark, normal, and low-level, which come into play a little later.

Sword of the Soul-Eater is the main way to win with this deck. Equipping it to United after the revolution means 3000 ATK on the Resistance. Enchanting Fitting Room gets combo pieces out before the Revolution; Afterwards, it can be used to give more Soul-Eater food. Magical Mallet is a draw spell; Reasoning goes in because I figure my opponent will never choose a number lower than 4 (coincidentally, most of the monsters in this deck are below level 4). Allure of Darkness works with Emissary, Sangan and Trainer. Finally, Double Summon can get out two combo pieces at once. I've heard it said that Double Summon just overextends and wastes cards - it doesn't matter in this deck, because the turn that I use Double Summon should be the turn that my monsters revolt.

Huge Revolution is in threes, for obvious reasons. Dust Tornado comes in because Huge Revolution can only be used during my main phase, so with Dust Tornado I can set it at the end of my opponent's turn. Common Charity is a perfect draw spell for this deck, there being so many normal monsters. The League of Uniform Nomenclature is useful for some defense, especially with Oppressed People (3 2000 DEF monsters!), and also for Sword of the Soul Eater. Finally, Waboku is just some defense.

Tell me what you think of this concept deck. Runer5h 17:48, 3 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

I think Phantom of Chaos could work wonders in here, but that is just my opinion. -- Joh!

...I'm sorry, what did you just say? There's 4 effect monsters in the whole deck! If you think that I can use Phantom of Chaos to copy Oppressed People, etc., you're sorely mistaken - it can only copy the names of effect monsters. All it could do is to copy Emissary or Sangan and search out combo pieces, except there's no way for me to destroy it on my turn. Runer5h 23:28, 4 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
...WOW. I'm sorry, Joh! here. Haha, I didn't fully read Phantom of Chaos. Please just disregard that comment alltogether. Haha, that was all bad.
Eh, it happens. I've made some pretty bad mistakes about reading cards incorrectly myself. Runer5h 01:03, 6 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

The idea is good, but with the current build I don't see your monsters staying on the field long enough or winning fast enough once you used revolution

Some Comments and cards you should think about

human wave tactics is a must

heart of the underdog at three is game-changin

the equip card that prevents your monster from being destroyed (it's a red water drop with a skull on it)

swords of revealling light

the continuos trap card that allows you to summon 1 monster paying 500 LP whose name I can't remember

Smashing ground is not good enough

why waboku and not mirror force?

Monster reborn must be in every deck, even on macro decks

and with monster reborn in, add the generic extra deck

And to finish this off, a deeply held grievance... How on earth this monsters all have different levels and attributes?!?!?! That probably kills the best chances of this deck

I don't know about Human-Wave Tactics, though it would be good with a set Oppressed People. Heart of the Underdog might work, but it seems a bit slow. The equip card with the skull you're thinking of is Heart of Clear Water, and it wouldn't work because before I revolt, I'll be setting monsters. Afterwards, I plan to buff United Resistance up to huge levels, so the Clear Water wouldn't work. Swords of Revealing Light would be good... but if Smashing Ground isn't good enough, what is? I will put in Mirror Force instead of Waboku. Monster Reborn will also go in, so I might as well put in that extra deck - it won't be generic, though, because of the low levels of my monsters. Finally, why is a mixture of levels and attributes bad?
As always, thanks for your advice. Runer5h 02:20, 5 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

The difference in levels and attributes on the three main cards is awful.

If they were all earth, fire, or whatever, you could use searchers (giant rat for example)

And the level difference doesn't allow you to fully use triangle power

Kidd 05 u2 15:19, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Hardly a problem. They're all normal, level 3 or below, and have less than 1500 ATK: This makes them useful for Sangan, Emissary of the Afterlife, Sword of the Soul Eater, Enchanting Fitting Room, and Common Charity. (And Oppressed People and People Running About are eligible targets for The League of Uniform Nomenclature.) The loss of Triangle Power isn't so bad, either. I don't need Elemental Searchers for them, because their low ATK/level and normal status make them searchable. Runer5h 19:17, 5 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
EDIT: Here's the side deck.
Dimensional Prison and Negate Attack are other ways to deal with attacks. Psychic Commander, Krebons, and Emergency Teleport give me increased access to the extra deck. Breaker is just a good card. Solemn Judgment makes for great negation. Finally, Amulet of Ambition will work really well with United Resistance. Runer5h 20:46, 5 May 2009 (UTC)Runer5h
