Opening Thoughts[edit]

A bunch of the decks were pretty sweet, and because me and Gadjiltron choose only the least supported Archetypes, all the decks we saw can only better. As for the ones based on individual cards, they were all really cool. Sadly, Archfiend might not get any more support, but who knows? --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:39, May 4, 2013 (UTC)

Tough Choices, Surprises, and Fantastic Ideas[edit]

For me, the voting decision was between Holy Lightning and Super Robo. I almost chose Holy Lightning as my theme, because I had a similar idea with it. I recently created a Triple Herald deck with Tethys to get all my Herald hand traps to negate everything, but being able to use Transtarn to search Tethys to get the engine goin' faster is awesome. You really CAN'T overestimate the greatness of triple Maxx "C" in that deck to start Tethys chains, as well as how AMAZING Fairy Cheer Girl is. It's got a decent 1900 body that pressures your opponent into getting rid of it, else you'll +1 off it next turn, possibly more with Tethys. In my Heralds, I usually paired up a couple of Dunames Dark Witches, most of the time by Rescue Rabbit. Rank 4 Fairy themes, although few and far between, have excellent draw power now, courtesy of Transtarn to nab Tethys and Fairy Cheer Girl. Great job and thanks so much for making those connections too, Nephthy! And as for Hasty, the Super-Robo idea was so fluent, I was so surprised to see you as the only contestant without a vote. Using Geargias is a genius idea for any Machine deck, and adds consistency to a theme lacking it. Besides, who doesn't love beating your opponent down with a 4000 indestructible behemoth (played Obelisk Frogs before, anyone)? Back that with some staying back-up power, and it looks to me like you got a winning formula. Nice work, Hasty, I woulda voted for you too if I could! Sorry guys, my internet conection was lame and I couldn't get in time to vote, I would have vote for archfiends, ´cause the new support looks awesome an the way he use it was pretty cool (they were my favorite Fiend-Type monsters, and with these new ideas it will be worth to use them again), for the mesmerizing girls it was awesome too, and for the Super Defense Robot way to go!! the geargias are a really good archetype for machines and in combination with these guys they are realy threatening.Jaggo 80 (talkcontribs) 05:25, May 4, 2013 (UTC)

SM10 I know how you feel when you say you're surprised I was the only contestant without a vote. I thought I would have gotten atleast 1 vote, but you win some you lose some. Its really surprising to see how much it takes to take down Fat Dragon though, in my testing so many people would use Dark Hole to take it down just to see it revive itself and laugh at them. Or have them use Mirror Force against Fat Dragon and Gear Gigant to have Fat Dragon revive itself, Gigant to revive Geargiano, and use Xyz Reborn to revive Gigant, and then be able to search after that. And being able to OTK as early as turn 3 is impressive for a deck not made to do that. But I'm not going to beat myself over losing a contest, the deck is really fun and consistant atleast in my opinion, especially with what both SM10 and YamiWheeler said about it, I must have done something right making that deck. The Mesmerizing Maneaters though, taking out so many of your opponent's resources, having non-negatable normal traps, and being able to use Trap Hole cards from the hand can be kinda scary to face. You probably would have gotten more votes if I could get more voters. But it's hard to do so without spamming other user's talk pages, and I don't want to be rude. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 12:44, May 4, 2013 (UTC)

Personally, I would've voted for Hasty's deck, I've tried most of these new archetypes and both Archfiends and Super-Defense Robos are good (undefeated for now). I just preferred Archfiends because I'm more of a Fiend-Type fan myself.--SLAY THE GODS! 11:51, May 4, 2013 (UTC)
