i dont get it, alien grey says in the rulings it only works if theyre ont he field, but does that mean a counters are totally useless w/o greys? ack! aliens are so confusing! the a-counters only during damage calculation 2... does that mean your monsters cant be killed too? O.o so confused.... Heaven-Smile 23:39, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

When the Alien Grey gets flipped face-up, the ATK-reduction effect goes into play. If the attacking monster already has A-counters on it, it will be weakened by this effect (but the Alien Grey's A-Counter will only be put onto the attacking monster after Damage Calculation). Because of this, if the monster has a ton of A-Counters on it already, the Grey can survive the attack! Speedball 23:50, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, thats part of what i need to know, but also, this means that if A-counters are on the field, and theres no alien grey, say an alien shock trooper with 1900 atk, and its attacked by a lesser fiend with 2100 atk whose got 1 a counter, what happens then? Heaven-Smile 01:15, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

If no monsters are on the field that mention the A-counter effect, A-counters do nothing. Your Shocktrooper will be destroyed by the Lesser Fiend. If you have an Alien Warrior, the A-counter effect is mentioned on its card text and the Lesser Fiend will be weakend by 300 ATK and 300 DEF if it battles an Alien. If you control multiple monsters that mention the A-counter effect, the A-counters weaken the opponent twice as much. Speedball 01:32, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Awesome youve been a great help, just 1 more question, Multiple a-counters mean multiple reductions correct? like say 5 a-counters against the alien grey means it loses 1500 atk? sry to bug you, : ) Heaven-Smile 11:59, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Well, it does say "for every A-counter on them" doesn't it? I don't mind helping out though. So yeah, the answer is yes, multiple counters means multiple reductions. Anything else? Speedball 12:17, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

oh, well sry for the bother ha, i didnt see that, but awesome nope thats it, you've been a HUGE help idk who else would have answered, i really am greatful. Heaven-Smile 12:27, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Glad to be of service. If anything else bugs you, send me a message on my talk page. Speedball 12:33, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Flip question[edit]

About the context : "when it is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, draw 1 card." If [Alien Grey] was set and My Opponent attacks it and destroys it by battle do I draw a card ? as far as i know it goes as following

in damage calculation my card is flipped face up then get destroyed and adding A counter on one of their monsters. This means [Alien Grey ] has been destroyed after it has been flipped face up or i did I get it wrong ?

Hi, yes, you've got it right.. It flips, gives off a counter, then destroyed (if attacking monster has enough attack), then you draw a card. --66.49.238.126 22:58, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

About 2nd effect[edit]

Hi, let's say i flip alien grey, and it's destroyed the turn after that, do i still draw a card? Also, let's say i flip it, give it to my opponent (say by creature swap), then destroy it myself, do i still draw a card or is it my opponent who draws a card? Finally, if Alien grey is normal summoned (not flipped), does the draw effect work at all? Thanks Basel --66.49.238.126 23:01, November 1, 2009 (UTC)
