In this card's effect it states "If all" does that mean that if one is in defense it does not gain anything? Does this card count for its own effect? So if he is in attack position by itself does that mean he has 1000 ATK? --66.57.227.76 14:03, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

It means what it says. So, if you have 1 in DEF Mode, all your other Batterymen will not gain anything.

Yes, cards that generally count things count themselves.
