Are you allowed to activate this when your life points hit 0? Here's my hypothetical situation.
You=1000 Opponent=1000
You have Damage Condenser face-down on your field. Your opponent attacks you directly with "Sangan." Can you activate Damage Condenser and summon Fire Trooper from your deck, then activate its ability and make the duel a draw? Or have you missed the timing? If you haven't, what happens? Can someone clear this up? Thanks in advance.
Also, if you have 100 life points and you're attacked by a 2000 attack point monster, how much damage did you take? A1lion835 15:05, 30 November 2008 (UTC)A1lion835

When a player's Life Points hit 0, the duel ends there. No cards or effects can be activated.
If your Life Points are 100 and you are attacked by a 2000 ATK point monster. You take 2000 damage and your LP's become 0. Lyani 15:10, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Defense Draw + Damage Condenser = Yubel What with Kuriboh?[edit]
Reaction Chain:
- Direct Attack - (Damage Calculation+Defense Draw) - Damage Resolution (Damage Condenser and any other cards that activate AFTER Damage Calculation.
Since the Timing is correct this ruling should be worth even for Kuriboh since it doesn't "negate the damage"(how it's stated in the rulings, but reduce it to 0) So a person could use the combo to instanty summon a Yubel.
