Differences[edit]

I wanted to ask if there were any actual differences between The Eye of Anubis and The Eye of Wdjat? -- Melik el-Al'ab 12:27, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Added images. You can see now that the Eye of Wdjat has "tails" which the Eye of Anubis doesn't have. -- Deltaneos (talk) 13:26, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay its getting more confusing. Ishizu called this one the Eye of Wdjat and here UDE call the same one the Eye of Anubis. But UDE have also called the one in the bottom corner of cards the Eye of Anubis and that one doesn't have the tails. -- Deltaneos (talk) 14:20, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Is it the eye of Wdjat or Anubis on the Millennium Items? Both pages claims contradict each other.--71.199.14.11 00:50, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Depends. In Egyptian iconography the Eye of Anubis has no real meaning and doesn't stand out like it does with Horus or Wdjat. Wdjat was, in fact, believed to be the embodiment of Horus's eye. Upper Deck and Konami used the symbol of Wdjat as the Eye of Anubis as a brand mark, but as mentioned from a mythological perspective Anubis's eye wasn't all that important in comparison.
TL;DR: Same thing.

Corrections[edit]

It says in the article that the eye of wdjat was only seen in the final Yu-Gi-Oh! arc. I'm pretty sure that is also the symbols that appear on character's fore heads when they are using their shadow powers/the powers of their millennium items. For example, Yami Yugi and Marik Ishtar. I'm pretty sure it was seen in other places too, but I can't remember at the moment, but I propose we change it so it is not "only" in the final arc. In addition, it was shown on DiaDhanks (seeing as that page links here), so I would say we add that to the article too. On a side note, I remember seeing several pages on this wiki referencing the Eye of Wdjat, but linking outside to Wikiapedia. Now that there is a page for it, however, I think we should link it here inside. Though, we should add a bit of information on the history and stuff so it is just a comprehensive.--Qim1 00:34, May 20, 2010 (UTC)
