Using a picture to display premium/standard cards

Can someone explain the rationale of doing so other than asthestics? Cause this greatly increase the loading time of the page, especially for mobile where people would access this page from most of the time. BlazeWu (talk • contribs) 06:22, December 18, 2017 (UTC)
