Duel with Paradox Brothers[edit]

Maybe there is no record of anyone beating them since Yugi and Joey because she didn't win.

Image[edit]

That image should be changed. It is a bit suggestive sexually (at least for me) and it's from a video game. OMG! You did it 03:41, April 18, 2010 (UTC)

It's not from a video game. It's from a tarot, included in the manga bunkoban. It's taken from a frame in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist - Duel 055. Takahashi just added the jewelery and colour for the tarot.
I dunno if it's too suggestive, but if you ask me that is the best picture of Mai available and still would be if her chest was covered and reduced. If we were to leave out images for being too sexual, some pages would be incomplete, such as Card Artworks:Water Omotics.
If we were to change it, do you have another image in mind. -- Deltaneos (talk) 15:42, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
Well I would prefer any scene from the anime...like her Battle City pic. OMG! You did it 15:48, April 18, 2010 (UTC)

Just for the record: We will not change things simply due to them being slightly "suggestive". Much of the Japanese artwork (not only for Mai, but for numerous cards as well) has been edited for other countries, and to leave them off of the site for these reasons is absurd. It's one of the best images of her so it's staying. Moviebaby (talkcontribs) 18:42, January 11, 2012 (UTC)

Orphan?[edit]

I'm watching a sub of episode 91, and Mai says her parents died when she was young. The quality of the sub seems questionable, though, so can anyone confirm this? --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 02:02, September 24, 2012 (UTC)

yu-jyo.net says that in its summary too. Although the author uses those mangled subtitled episodes backed with his own knowledge of Japanese. Still I've always understood that site to be accurate. -- Deltaneos (talk) 13:24, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
Seems like a very significant detail to have excluded from her biography. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 13:44, September 24, 2012 (UTC)
