Does it's effect activate if it has been set face-down attacked and flipped face up as a result of the attack?

No, cause the card states that "unless it was face-down and destroyed as a result of battle", you do not get to draw.

Does its effect activate if I Special Summon it from the Graveyard with the Effect of Junk Synchron (negates its effect) and then I tune them both to Synchro Summon Junk Warrior or any other? because Shock Troops of the Ice Barrier's effects are simultaneous, so you don't miss the timing. Substitoad has an effect that resolves after poison draw frog leaves the field, so the timing is missed NOT FrogtheJam 21:35, June 12, 2010 (UTC)
