Synopsis: In a not-too-distant future, in the kingdom of Solaris, a new Type of Duel Monsters takes the world of Dueling by storm.

Energy Monsters! Shiny, gold-colored cards with monsters as powerful as the Fusion, Synchro and Xyz Monsters all combined! A player can summon an Energy Monster by banishing monsters and Special Summon it from Extra Deck with ATK equal to the combined ATK of the banished monsters!

The hero of the story, Yukio Tatesuke, along with his friends and rivals, discover a special kind of Energy Monsters that contain powers of ancient gods and creatures from civilizations old. With his friends at his sides and the Monsters to fight alongside, Yukio must Duel against dark forces that plan to use the power of the ancient gods to purge his homeland into everlasting ruin!

Main Characters[edit]

Yukio Tatesuke[edit]

The main protagonist of the story. Yukio is a passionate Duelist who wants to rise to the top of the Pro Leagues, Dueling his way through and making many friends. Orphaned at a young age, he and his little sister were taken in by their aunt Mimi, and Yukio Duels in memory of his father.

Daichi Ganseki[edit]

Yukio's long time friend and Dueling rival. After quitting the Rare Card Sharks, Daichi redeemed himself by dedicating his life to teaching other Duelists how to become stronger. As a pro-Duelist in training, Daichi uses his knowledge and skills to help win his Duels.

Ryuju Kukiyona[edit]

A mysterious Duelist and leader of the Rare Card Sharks. Winning over 150 consecutive Duels, Ryuju rose up to the Number #1 spot, giving the lower class Sharks orders to steal anyone's Rarest card in an Ante-Rule Duel, but strongly detests those who defy those orders. He somehow knows what happened to Yukio Tatesuke's father.
