Thanks for telling me about the deck (I didn't notice, I'll try and be more observant for the next one). Re:Rulings - when to add them?

In general, unofficial rulings shouldn't be added. Most are either speculative, opinions, or redundant.

Unofficial rulings are almost always up for debate. This would turn Rulings Pages into debates/arguments about why (not) a card should work a specific way, or even edit wars between two people. Rulings from UDE/Konami are not up for debate, so it must be followed and the card must work that way, so we don't have this problem.

Obvious rulings, like whether the effect of Monster X can be activated during your opponent's turn or whether "Monster Reborn" can revive Monster Y, seem unnecessary. If we included everything that is implied, the Rulings Pages would become way too long, and filled with redundant information.

Implied rulings (Card X has Ruling A, Card Y's effect is worded similarly to Card X, so Card Y must follow Rulings A) are also a problem, since many rulings are specific to the card. It's not always clear when rulings are universal or card-specific.

Also, many questions on the Forum deal with specific situations. These situations appear once in a blue moon, or only appear hypothetically, so I see no need to add these to the Rulings Pages.

Lastly, many answers given on the Forum are also provisionary, so they're only valid until UDE/Konami tells us what the ruling should be and as long as you believe the poster's logic. Information like this is highly unreliable, and definitely shouldn't be added.

Well, the newest ruling always takes precedence over the old one. The old ruling for "A-Team: Trap Disposal Unit" no longer applies, so it doesn't really belong on the Rulings Page. (If it should be listed anywhere, the Trivia Page would probably be the most appropriate.)

The "Bad Reaction"/"Prime Material Dragon" is like the second paragraph above. People were generally speculating and offering opinions, and nothing like that should belong on the Rulings Pages. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 20:33, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Have you got any more help for my deck? I'm just trying to perfect it, as its not perfect. I might add 2 Foolish Burials to dump monsters as bait for Junk Synchron or Limit Reverse, by taking out Dust Tornado and Divine Wrath. Also, I really need a side strategy for playing against remove from play decks. This is because they limit my swarm theme by rendering the effects of Junk Synchron and Limit Reverse useless. Deletion nominations

You can add {{Delete}} to the top of the page. If you want to add a reason, use {{Delete|reason = spam for example}}. -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:16, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

The amount of time it takes for a flagged page to get deleted simply depends on how long it takes someone capable of deleting to see it. I don't think adding the quick=true, will make much difference. Since it's mainly used for pages the should obviously be deleted, it should be easy for whoever sees to know if should be deleted quickly, with or without it. Other than it also adds the page to Categories:Candidates for Deletion (Quick), which won't make much difference considering the regular Canditates for deletion category usually only has a few entries. -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:35, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

I didn't try remembering a formula, I just multiplied the probability of drawing each card, like you said, (5/40)*(4/39)*(3/38)*(2/37)*(1/36). To do inheritance probabilites, you could use Mendel's laws, right? -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:58, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

• I try surfing around in this site and I have read about what you said of not banning Honest, now i know why it shouldn't be banned, actually for me the having a fairy light decks are usually with weak attack points and with much weaker effects compared to monsters with dark Attribute, although what I knew about the most powerful light deck is the Lightsworn Deck. Hmm

Using a probability check on playing Yu-Gi-Oh! cards cannot be just performed by only a duelist. Well I am a Computer Science student, i am also good in math and playing Yu-Gi-Oh! card game will really enhance oral computation, but because i am exposed to computers my talent in math is degrading. I've been competed at Regional Math competitions at our country and a only during my first year high school National Contestant of Sci-Dama at the Philippines but not the winner, I am just lucky to reach that far. Query

Would you be happy if the dark synchro monsters will be a real card soon? I wish this will happen. This will surely boost players here in the Philippines to play Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, however this card must be limited to only one copy of card per player because they are really powerful. Me too I actually don't know how to summon synchro monsters what is only written in the card 1 tuner + 1 or more none tuner monster. When I have tuner monster on the field and one other non-tuner monster, I just have them send to the graveyard, like contact fusion, then synchro summoning the monster without considering it's level. I don't really like before the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's because of the Turbo Duel and the new procedure on summoning a monster with circle effects then one of the monster will enter in that then another monster will appear. I have this just known during my fourth year highschool, but because of surfing the yugioh.wikia.com, Now I already new about it. What i think is about the negative level that when a kid duelist will not know about it since it's a subtraction like 2-10=-8, maybe they will say that the answer is 8. Hey Probability Checks

Mathematics being applied in Yu-Gi-Oh! card game awesome. what you have said the highest probability of drawing all the exodia cards is in just the very first turn is about 5!(40 - 5)!/40!. This is a formula for inclusive events in probability, well I have also a knowledge about math. Mathematician Duelist will rule the whole Yu-Gi-Oh! world. A couple of things

First off, how do you create one of these here talk pages. I would like to know. Also, what would this page be used for, and hopefully I am not spamming you.

Secondly, I posted an Earth Warrior Deck on the deck help forum, and I had a couple of guys answer on it. I was kind of hoping I could get your input on it. Now, I know you are a busy man and for that I won't hound you for an answer. I would really like your input on the deck, there are two deck lists on that thread and the bottom one is the current build. I would like to get it to 40 cards or so, and am thinking about adding a Torrential Tribute to the deck, and perhaps pulling my Tribute monsters but am not sure. When you have time, could you take a look at it. Thanks, I appreciate it. The deck build is also on my user page.

Also could you send your crystal fist build to my email, or if you could start a talk page for me. I don't know how to do that. But, I have a couple of Nimble Momonga and Rescue Cats on the way so I think we are going to go with that type of build for my girlfriend's crystal beast deck.

Your Crystal Fist

I have recieved the cards, and have printed out your deck list to use as a reference, but I am still short some of the cards. I am missing on Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins and didn't have a Giant Trunade so I added another Crystal Blessing as you had suggested. I don't have a Kuraz, though I am looking for one, I did put in a Torrential Tribute though, any ideas on what to do to replace Kuraz, and the other Ancient Ruins.

I have a Kuraz on the way, thanks to Ebay. I will look for a Jesse Anderson Duelist pack for the other card. When I get the complete and total build, I will list it on my User Page under the Girlfriend Section, you can check it out from there. Also please don't waste your time, looking at the Earth Warrior Deck, I am swapping it out for a Psychic and Warrior hybrid. I do have the Ruins on the way, so we should be able to fulfill the build here by this weekend. I have recieved the cards, I still do not have an extra Giant Trunade but I have recieved the Kuraz the Light Monarch and Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins so I will be posting the final deck list later today.

How do you leave the link to your talk page

I have been expierementing with the signature, but I can't seem to separate the two links, it must have something to do with some html that I am forgetting, what I would like to have is My signature that links to my user page, and then in addition to it, I would like to have a separate link that leads to my talk page. I have another modification

To your Crystal Fist Build, somehow in all the cards that I have ordered for this deck, I forgot that I don't have a third Crystal Release I was thinking of adding another card to it. Though I don't know which one it should be, here are my choices, Monster Reborn, Monster Reincarnation, Torrential Tribute or another Lightning Vortex which do you think would be better. First attempt is going to be a Monster Reborn

Dueling on line

Now, that I have gotten my decks to the point that I think I am ready, there are a number of people on this site, that have requested to duel me, you, Sandy Sagebrush, and some others but I have no idea on how to duel on line, Sandy suggested an im version, of dueling, which I can easily enough figure out. But, is there a different way that you suggest dueling. My schedule doesn't seem to allow alot of time to duel some of the guys, what with my computer being in my stepdaughter's room. But, there are some days that I could do it. I would also like to know your thoughts on proxy cards, ie. I print the cards in adobe and then cut them out with a exacto knife and place them in a sleeve over a common card of the same back ground. And proxy that way, my best friend, has learned how to do it but uses only black and white ink, and uses an entire deck of proxy cards. How do you do proxy cards.

• I do my proxies like yours, I print a color copy of the card from this site, in adobe, and cut it to size and place it with a common of the same type for rigidity as well. I have told my buddy, that I won't play a deck that has a proxied Crush Card Virus though, he is saving for his wedding, of which it looks that I will be his best man, and I do let him use Honest x3 and Dark Armed Dragon heck he proxies his whole deck. But when I proxy my deck, I use a proxy card until I can get the original off of EBay.

He said that if he chained Book of Moon to his own Giant Trunade, the Book would return to his hand, and he still got to use the Book's effect. Hey, I have listed yet another deck modification of my girlfriends, dark attribute deck, was wondering if you could take a look at it, as it has been getting destroyed lately, so it was time to change, it is a couple of threads down on the deck help forum. I saw your suggestions on one of the Crystal Beast deck that needs help so i drop by if you could help me too. I really wanted to see Rainbow Dragon and Rainbow Dark together. The Valleys & Mind Controls work wonders, & Road Warrior helps get the Valleys out much quicker, making it easier for me to Dupe them & use their effects en masse. Now I have another request. Hey bro, can you help me out again.

First off let me apologize, as I haven't been able to get everything together to duel on line, since we last spoke I have added even more decks, to my growing list. Hope to duel with you soon. Take a look at the newer decks, they are in my deck zone on my page. But onto the point of this post, my kids are here with me for the summer, and my son wanted a dragon deck, I put one together for him, and it is in the post entitled my Son's dragons. It is a good deck but it seems to be choppy, and doesn't run smooth, I know that you are a very busy man, but if you could help me out it would be greatly appreciated yet one more time. Talk to you later. I took my son to a tournament, and they were playing for a Gold Series 2 box. I played the CB's, they didn't do as well as I thought they would, but a bunch of people there were sweating it out, I ran the exact copy of you Crystal Fist deck, they told me to pull the Momongas and added some more traps to it, but I didn't want that. I did add the Torrential Tribute though, maybe it will be better next time I run it.

Thanks for the answers. What I meant by signature Pages is a page used to extend the length of the code used for your signature. You create it in your userspace, and throw a '/sig' and the end of your name (User:_/sig). Then create the page and type out the code for your signature there. Then, on your preferences, type in {{subst:User:_/sig}} under your nickname, and click 'Raw Signature'. If you want an example, look here. It was the only way I could make this signature.

Well, I basically chopped the 'ドラゴン' (Dragon) off of Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and threw the 'キッズ' (Kid) of Thunder Kid on to it. Instead of tapping into my knowledge of the Japanese language, I used the information on this wiki to avoid error. RE:2 Quick Queries!

1. Both "Alien Dog" and "Alien Ammonite" have optional Trigger Effects, so both will activate and form a Chain. Both are optional Trigger Effects, so you can choose the order.
2. Ha, I was horrible at first. Luckily, I learned the ropes on Edo's board, which is now gone, so people can't see all the stupid things I did. Heck, I originally chose this name out of irony, since I was so bad! XD
   Also, I'm not a judge and I never was one. I kept meaning to get one, but I procrastinate too much. I'm just pretty good at rulings.

Archiving

There are two ways: Move or cut and paste:

• To cut and paste, simply copy the content from this page and pate it on something starting with User talk:Darth Covah/ (e.g. User talk:Darth Covah/Archive 1) and then blank your actual talk page. If you cut and paste, all the page history stays on your main talk page.

• To move: You click "move" and enter somethign starting with User talk:Darth Covah/ as the new title. Then clear the redirect lft at your actual talk page. If you move all the page history for that archive is transfered to the new title.

Advantages/disadvantages of copy and paste

• You may not want to archive the entire content of your page. You might just want to move old topics and keep ones which are still ongoing. (and copy them over once they're done)

• The page history won't only contain record the move and edits made afterwards.

Advantages/disadvantages of move

• People's contributions will link to the archive they commented on, rather than your current talk page.

• The page history will have the history of the archive, rather than just the move. Making it easier to look at diffs and such.

• You can only archive the entire content of the page at once. You can't keep topics on ongoing discussions.

• The number of revisions will not be a reflection of how many comments are being left on your talk page.

I have found the way to get those expensive cards

And upon asking my local Tournament Director if I could do it, he said yes that it would be allowed. I buy them from people on EBay in Japan. Then when the card arrives I print up a colored version of it and place it in the sleeve thus having the official card and a readable copy. I have done it to two Delta Crow - Anti Reverse cards in my Blackwing deck, and a Crush Card Virus for my girlfriend's Dark Strike Mistress Deck. They are cheaper there than here in America.

New Deck- Test Much?

The Dark Strike Mistress deck

Cards that have been ordered or purchased:

Black Salvo x3
Dekoichi The Battlechanted Locomotive x3
Crush Card Virus The Japaneese version

I have recieved the above mentioned cards, some of the other cards in which I could add to the deck to make it run a bit better. I do have a Gorz the Emissary of Darkness card in which I can add to it as well. As well as the DAD are there any other cards I should add to it as well.

First off, again thanks for your help there are some cards that I am working on gaining for this deck, as you stated I will give you a copy of the cards that I have.

For the More expensive version I have 2 of 3 Caius, I have the DAD, I have one Cyber Phoenix, the Sangan, The Two Mystic Tomato. I am in the process of looking up the other monsters that are easy to obtain. I don't have all the Extra Deck Monsters or only have one available ie Red Dragon Archfiend, One Stardust, I have no extra Dark Strike Fighters. No Thought Ruler Archfiend, Magical Android, and will need one Black Rose Dragon. I also don't have Chimeratech Fortress Dragon, but I do have a Chimeratech Over Dragon. But I have none of the Black Salvo's, Cyber Valley's, Dekoichi's or the

Onto the traps I have all of them but the Mirror Force.

For Spells I need one Machine Duplication, Dark Eruption, and one Mind Control.

For the Cheaper Version, I will need 2 Cyber Phoenix, all 3 Dekoichi, Cyber Dragon though I do have a card that's name is treated as Cyber Dragon while on the field. One Caius, One Thestalos, all 3 Black Salvo's The Two Dark Strike Fighter's

For Spell Cards, I need one Book of Moon.

And I have all the traps.

If you want to clean it up better by all means, go ahead. As I stated previously I am attempting to get some of the cards that are easily obtained. If you have any other ideas of cards list them on my talk page and I will see if I have them.
